Having only skimmed the final 10 pages, can I get a summary of ZC 1.3.7 and the image handling?
Is it still required to create three sizes of the product image with the smallest being uploaded via the core program and the other two in the MED and LG folders? Or has the ZC been upgraded to use GD2 and or ImageMagik in order to upload a single product image and then the image is sized and scaled down to proper dimensions?

The ZenCart has default sizes for the upload. Look into the config and see the MAX and MIN properties. Also, you can load the PICs through Category and Product and Zen will take care of it.
Let me know if you have any issues.... Here is on one my ZenCart site

No, I read it and the answers added little to the discussion. Not to mention that the thread it 15+ pages long spanning nearly two years I did not think asking for a summary would be considered outside the norm.
Almost all installed php these days come with GD2 compiled as an option. I wanted to know if the ZC 1.3.7 uses the GD or imagemagik build to manipulate images. Since I've just started this week on working on ZC, I haven't even worked My way up to installing mods let alone determing which would be the best. I do have experience with the GD however.
But thanks for your reply.

Very good. That is what I thought the values were pertaining to when looking through the configuration options. I'm just wondering if I should upload the single image and allow the cart to use the GD to manipulate the image or should I go ahead with the extra work of creating a _MED and _LRG folder for their respective sizes?
Nice web site btw.
Well I'd recommend installing IH2 from the downloads section (NOT the author's site) and save yourself the extra work. On the other hand, if you create the extra sizes, they don't all have to be the same image as long as you use the naming convention.

I have a problem. I want to use my own custom directory [somedirectory]
My directory attributes correct Written 777.
Somehow my image can only be recognised if i load the base image from the main directory. Images can only be read from /images/medium and /images/large. What happen? Using 1.3.7. Funny...![]()
