Sure.

The ONLY things I have done with the mod is upload all the mod files (including the edit to html_output.php) and visited the catalog home page, which came up blank.

I ten copied the simple .htaccess provided in the guide.
The catalog homepage still came up blank.

I can login to admin, but as reported the mod does not appear in the config menu.

I will switch templates and check the error log for info.

I just checked the error log and observed the error :
includes/classes/seo/seo.compatibility/http_build_query.php
failed to open stream: No such file or directory

So I checked directory on the host and sure enough http_build_query.php was not present. Instead in that same directory was a file named seo.compatibility. Something fishy going on. And so I looked in my local unzipped archive and I also observe the file seo.compatibility (in the directory of the same name), not http_build_query.php. Not good.

I open the zip archive and it correctly shows http_build_query.php. So it appears the unzip process borked out. First time I've had this experience.

Will report back when I have more to offer.

Nothing wrong Woodmon, I was just wanting to know if it was ok to use the beta because of the danger message on the home page of the link you sent me.

However this gives me a good excuse to setup my xaamp properly so that I can test it first.

@Bird - As you can see I am brand new to this mod.

I didn't hear you asking if it was "ok" to install the beta. So I have to ask, "ok" for what? The mod is NOT (yet) intended for production use. But you knew that reading this thread and downloading and reading the guide.

See the link of that Isaac just posted above. Is an attachment of all the 3.0.0b1 post release fixes through Mar 29, 2007. Be sure to check out the bug tracker for all the patches released since.

Or was Beta 2 ever released as announced here on March 11 2007?

As long as your environment is a test environment can you please test this scenario for me?

Make sure Skip SSL is unchecked
Make sure .html is set for default extension
Make sure that Paypal Express is installed

Then report back if it works with the above settings :)

I would definitely test for you but I currently I do not have any shipping or payment mods installed (including no PPEC or GCO) on this basic test installation. Nor do I have a SSL certificate installed.

I know you're going how could it be a quality test bed if I don't have any of this installed/configured

I may move this install to another host I do have SSL installed. But I don't think that will not happen real soon.

But If I am able to do that sooner which specific functions/features do you want me to test? Zen cart has a zillion permutations of settings and options.

Thanks Woody for even entertaining my request. The ONLY issue I have not been able to resolve is the mod working with PPE as described above. When you get to it you get to it. I am not too going crazy to have this work as I have already uninstall this. This mod will eventually end up like Image Handler.
