I'm a new member here but this is exactly what I was looking for however I am still having an issue implementing this process. My current project is www.sportsboardscentral.com and I'm looking to insert the cart into this site using the categories I set up... Is this even possible?? I could really use some help clarifying the entire procedure in this thread...thank you all up front

So let me get this straight you have a template that you want embed that cart in. you have set up categories using the zen cart interface. and you want to use the template to link to them?
What part of the install process do you get lost on?

Currently I'm getting errors at the top of the cart when I view it like
    these:

    Warning
: fopen(../../sbc_template/cart_template.html) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/sportsbo/public_html/store/includes/templates/sang_embed Folder/common/embed_config.php on line 14

Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: Stat failed for ../../sbc_template/cart_template.html (errno=2 - No such file or directory) in /home/sportsbo/public_html/store/includes/templates/sang_embed Folder/common/embed_config.php on line 15

Warning: fread(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/sportsbo/public_html/store/includes/templates/sang_embed Folder/common/embed_config.php on line 15

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/sportsbo/public_html/store/includes/templates/sang_embed Folder/common/embed_config.php on line 17

I am unable to get the store to show up in the template using the directions given. The store also got very colorful after installation of the sang_embed Folder elements.

Any info that I can give for your help please don't hesitate to ask...also that was the quickest forum response I have ever received and I would like to thank you for that

looks like you are not pointing it to the file properly.
try using the exact location on the file in relation the the php root directory. this could be diffrent from the site, or users root folder.

The file path seems to be correct but I'll try different possibilities. Out of curiosity...I currently have the template set up with an editable region ( originally a .dwt file converted back to .html for the cart )where I place the <!-- START EMBED -->, <!-- END EMBED --> tags. Should I remove the editable region and insert these tags so they stand alone inside the css container built for my content?? Do you think this would make a difference??

Also in regards to my original question ( I apologize for not being very clear)...once I have this set up is it possible to use my original template drop down menu's (seen on the left side of www.sportsboardscentral.com) to link to the categories of items created in ZC??

I am very pleased so far with ZC and will recommend this product to anyone in need of a powerful and user friendly cart. This is my first time using ZC and being apart of the ZC community and I must say I am impressed. Thank You again.

it sounds like your template is ok, again by looking at the errors, it is not able to find the document.
by the way a .dwt file will work fine w/ this program. that was what it was originally written for.

tomorrow I will be intergrating the easy embed template into drupal as well! this means that you will able to control the look adn feel of both drupal and zen cart w/ one file.

Have a Drink Re: Easy embed template

    Hi,
Just wanted to pop in here real quick to say I think this is a great add-on. Once people understand the flexibility this offers them, demand should really take off. I'll be trying it out for a new client shortly, and am looking forward to a lot more ideas in this forum.

Great job, ##########################, keep it up!

Ok... getting closer. I now seem to have the right file path but I am getting these errors:

    Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: Stat failed for includes/templates/sbc_template/cart_template.html/ (errno=20 - Not a directory) in /home/sportsbo/public_html/store/includes/templates/sang_embed Folder/common/embed_config.php on line 15

Warning: fread() [function.fread]: Length parameter must be greater than 0. in /home/sportsbo/public_html/store/includes/templates/sang_embed Folder/common/embed_config.php on line 15

    What do these mean?

so close I can taste it
