We were not getting the Paypal error messages just no order details. We have been through our admin page and checked the paypal module and cross referenced our address with paypal and found that our primary email address on paypal was not the primary address on our admin page i.e. sales@...... instead of info@........ Since changing this all has been okay and the orders did finally arrive, a few days later!!!!!!
Hope this help.![]()
Thanks for your quick replys, vey much appreciated. The *** is exactly the same, case and all! I'll try re-installing the paypal module and see if it helps. Sounds like I've got a different issue to this thread perhaps.
Thanks again!
I was having that problem too, but I found the fix for mine was to shut off the tax rates in PayPal since it was trying retax already taxed items, that was causing a mismatch in the amount and not returning the data to zencart.
To find the info on the missing orders, I downloaded and installed the
PayPal Sessions Viewer contribution. It's a bit cryptic, but it allowed me to find the info I needed and process my orders.
I have'nt had any problems since shutting off the tax rates in PayPal.
I hope this helps and works for you.
Hey all,
I recently got this problem, its happened before once, but it "fixed itself".
But I have had 4 orders in the last few days and I get the Paypal payment notice but I do not get the actual order sent to my e-mail.
This has proven to be problematic as some additional info is given in orders which are required for me in order to process them.
I do not have tax on my Paypal and nothing has been changed since about 3 months...anyone know why this problem is occuring?
Thank you ina dvance, any information would be appreciated.

PS. I have not upgraded to the newest version as I am not sure if I possess the skills to do so, since I am still new and cannot "back up" files like everyone else, even using other programs the forum has suggested by other members.![]()
Hey all,
This has happened to me again this week. It previously happend sometime last year, but it did indeed "fix itself" after a week or so.
Orders not going through to the e-mail, BUT payment is still sent.
Extra details are VITAL on my site for orders...and really leave me stranded.
No changes have been made, tax is 0% due to digital goods, nothing altered.
Not updated either as I still cannot learn how to "back-up" files or use other programs to do so(place X in the correct folder, doesn't work or I don't understand pathways), and honestly cannot risk losing all the information I have. =(
Any easy and clear method would be appreciated, thanks again everyone.

Can't help you -- but just wanted to say to everyone that IT'S NOT YOU.
I have had the exact same problem from the very beginning with ZenCart (for over a year, I guess, now), and have yet to resolve it. I've tried everything, and finally given up. (I would switch to a different cart system -- and might still do so -- but after putting incalculable hours into ZenCart, I don't feel like starting all over...)
The only solution I know of is to (as others have mentioned) install the "PayPal Sessions Viewer" -- which allows you to view "stuck" orders and manually move them into the database (where they're supposed to go in the first place).
Other than that, all I can say is Good Luck...
upgrade and use the paypal express is another option

Hey,
Thanks you two, I have wanted tp upgrade...I am still on 1.3.5 I think, but, since I am still a noob, upgrading seems extremely hard(read Dr. Bytes pages on 1.3.7) unless of course all I do is press the "Upgrade" button when logged into the site/zen-cart admin.
As I said before, I still cannot back up files, and I've honestly spent alot of hours on the site (theres 4k+ products and will ever increase) and cannot risk losing it all, since I now have less time due to work constraints.
Any info. would be greatly appreciated.
Ken.
