Easy Populate 1.2.5.4 support

Hi,
I was hoping you could post the changes you made, and to what files to get EP to imput/export your new fields. Google just made UPC, and other codes required, and getting them into the database will be much easier if they can be included with the next EP import.

New IMPORTANT Issue:

I have two store fronts that I am working with. In one I am adding products, description, and also updating the the order of products (moving items around and consolidating categories).

I exported the Complete data using EP, and also the Model/Category file.

I wanted to update the test site to reflect my additions/changes. So I first uploaded the new Model/Category file and then the complete file.

When I uploaded the file it appeared to be okay, however, the items that I moved or consolidated now appear as links products!!

How do I get around this? Or did I do something wrong or wrong order?

This is a limitation of EasyPopulate standard, you cannot move products with it. It just creates linked products. I believe the advanced version has support for moving products.

Does anyone know if you can set products to "call for price" using EP?

Used EP 1254 to upload 1440 products.. went without a hitch! Awesome! Tried using it for the attributes for those products and after about a minute of the page trying to load the file, I am asked to dl easypopulate.php. I tried splitting up the files to see if maybe the file size was the problem. Same problem happend. Ive also tried changed the admin->easypopulate.php to read and write... still having the same prob. Anyone know what the issue might be?

I have Easy populate installed finally. Seems to be done properly. Had to make some manual changes to .sql file before it would work.

Anyway I have a tab delimited file with all my products in them. when I try to upload a file and import to database I get this.

However, There are no products or categories listing any idea where it could be failing?

cbrknight - Your uploaded file format must be wrong, if you have products in zencart already download the complete file and checkout the format and compare the two files, if not key in a product manually thro admin and then download the file. Checkout a post around 3-4 pages back in this thread as someone else had a similar problem!

Hello.. I have searched and can't find a answer to the following problem I am having with Easy Populate Version 1.2.5.4

I installed it like 3 different times and keep having same problem..

Everytime I try to import or export I get kicked back to admin login screen. Now if I copy the url from a export funtion and append the zenAdminID and manual paste it in the browser. I can get what ever fuction to work..

below is a example of the url I get when I select copy shortcut ..

all others are like the above for sum reason it's not

appending the admin id like that of below to any url associated with easy populate..

Hello

I've had my zen cart for a while but this is the first time I've tried adding anything to it and feeling like a rabbit caught in headlights! Please bear with me.

I've been trying to ftp EP_v1.2.5.4 to give it a go and it shows in Admin -> Configuration but not Admin-> Tools.

I've added the EP folder to public_HTML and to the shop admin, (set the temp permissions to 700), I'm pretty sure this is where I've gone wrong. Can someone please walk me through it or tell me which directory the temp and admin folders should go under please. I keep reading about putting it into Zen Cart Admin but I'm not sure where that is. (I have backed up everything first just in case)

Can anyone give a raw recruit a helping hand please?
