Quickbooks Import QBI

There are two different possibilities in Quickbooks to be the model number in Zen Cart, either the item name/no or the manufacturer's part number. Which one should be the model number in Zen Cart? Thanks.

QBI uses the QB Item Name to match to the Zen Model.

Sales tax question: not sure that this is a QBI issue as opposed to a QB issue.

I have a downloaded order for 2 taxable items and a friends&family discount. The tax was charged on the total item price before the discount rather than after the discount. Shouldn't the tax be on the total selling price (ie the price after the discount?)

I have found the answer to my sales tax troubles. I had the discount items set up as non-taxable in QB. They need to be set up as taxable items. Now they work perfectly : )

Check that you are not using any mod for admin user permissions. If you are, you'll need to tell it about QBI. Try going directly to www.yourstore.com/admin/qbi_create.php.

Thanks Adam for replying. I did try using the qbi_create.php directly but it still redirect me to the admin login page.

By the way, I'm hosted on a window server with ixwebhosting.com and I'm using a demo store for testing until I get everything work. It's a fresh install of Zen 1.3.7.

Does this work for a UK shop with Quickbooks pro 2007 ?

I do not include the user manual in doc format, since it is copyrighted (documentation is not part of the GPL) and I want to assure that it is not reused or altered. Surely you must be able to find a computer that can open pdf files and at least print it out! I'd think there would even be a pdf reader for linux, since it is an open format.

Adam - I am on WinXP using Acrobat 7.0 and cannot open the PDF. I am getting an error message: "There was an error trying to open this document. The viewer cannot decrypt this document."

Surely you must have a better solution than to flame a linux user!

I left a message on your forum, but in case there are other Zen Cart people who are wondering, where is the manual for QBI? I looked in all the usual places but couldn't see it.

(I am sure that it's in an obvious place, if that is the case, please don't hate me )
