    Default 'Lost' Orders

    Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes. . .
My shop is set up to use Paypal and during testing worked fine. I got a friend to buy something to make sure the whole process ran as anticipated, right down to packing slip, invoice etc.

Today, I took my first proper, real customer sale. I know I sold a CD: I received payment etc and a zen id with the details at Paypal's website. However, no details came through to my site - nothing got stored in the database, and I received no sales notification email or anything.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I have a big ad campaign starting shortly, and the last thing I want is to have to email all my customers and ask what they ordered!

    Thanks

Update: Turns out that, following Paypals new site design, all my settings were changed. So, I reset auto return and the return url etc and am confident all will be well again.

Thank you for reminding us that you need to check your PayPal settings since they seem to get reset occasionally. Glad you are back on track!! Congrats on your first real sale and good luck!

I just use the Session Viewer to find out these missing orders.
But this is a temporary method.

    Does someone know:
    1. why this problem suddenly happen, before 31th Oct. was working fine.
    2. will this problem lasting for a long time or just a few day? Is paypal doing some change these days?

thank you, DrByte, for the Session Viewer .

    Regards

Sometimes it's best to ask PayPal about questions related to PayPal ...
