Creating more static banners

I'm trying to duplicate this site using ZC.

I read the banner FAQ and searched and read a lot of banner questions, but I'm still confused as to how to add more static banners and be able to use the banner manager.

I know there's SQL stuff to do, and that's not my area of expertise...

So, I need 2 static banners at the top, several on the left and the right, and at the bottom. The top and the bottom, I would prefer to have them inside the main area.

How would I do this?

For the bottom create a new div that is just befor all the others that populate the footer...

Use the admin > tools > developers tool kit > and search for siteinfolegal (I think that this is in /includes/templates/common/tpl_footer.php this can house the additional banners.

Managing from the admin is more difficult as the only one for this area is wide banners and there is only one - it will rotate but not show several. Same for the top.

The thread is kind of old. I'm running the latest version. Would the same SQL statement work?

Can I do this to "clone" banner_box_all? What makes it different that this sidebox shows all banners instead of rotating them? I guess I'm still not completely understanding the structure...

That is a fairly complete thread on cloning a banner box and not much has changed for this since then. As indicated this is a bit more involved than just coping files...

You are testing this on a test site first?? Still backup first

Thanks for the help, Jack. I was able to "clone" the sidebox. It was easier than I expected... The SQL statement was right inside the module file.
