    Default trouble with shipping weight

    when i enter something into the shipping weight it automatically turns it into pounds. is there anyway you can say for instance 3oz?

    1 ounce = 0.0625 pounds

    You need to use the decimal format and it will be converted when all of the weights are added up to the format needed by UPS or USPS etc.

    i see, so i cannot use pounds.
    My first time creating a cart and i just have no idea how this whole shipping/weight deal works and how i should be doing it.. i couldn't find an article on it anywhere. OK thanks man. ;)

    As long as you convert to decimals you can ...

    NOTE: UPS and USPS take the lowest weight of .1 which is used in the Shipping Modules so that quotes can work ... so you can enter a smaller amount but it will be converted ...
