    Hi tj1,

Sorry, that hasn't been a priority, but I will keep it in mind. My Numinix site has never had over 500 products listed and now that I rely on Google Base even less I probably won't be looking to optimize the module for larger amounts. Actually your script is timing out even though it is still displaying the message. Otherwise, it would having the closing XML tag. I am planning to have an all-in-one script for most of the price comparison websites, including ones I've already released, that will be optimized for larger sites. Honestly though, your server plays a major roll. The script should be ready by early february and will depend largely on other projects that have to be finished first.

News updates will be posted on the Numinix website of what our future and current plans are.

I'm using version 1.6.7 and having problems with duplicate entries. All products are duplicated, but some have a hyperlink like so:

    ()

    instead of a product name.

As far as I can tell, the products which appear as () are priced by attributes, whereas the products which have a fixed price appear normally, but two times.

The () products don't have a description - just numbers like

    : : 1200 : 2007

Google gives me an error for these products but processes the others.

    Any ideas about this?

    That's a great idea, an all-in-one script. :)

Can you tell me if there's a setting in the new version that makes the script time out?

I haven't had a script time out in a long time caused by my host's configuration. the only times I've experienced time outs is when the script itself is programmed to end after a certain period of time.

I just installed V 1.6.7 on my newly upgraded 1.3.8a site and this works great!
However I have a situation where I am forced to use the MAP Pricing mod as well. Currently if I have an item that is set to a MAP price, our price shows in the feed and not the MAP price. Has anyone gotten this mod to work with the MAP Pricing mod? I need the MAP price to be the one that is uploaded and not our price so that we stay between the ditches on this MAP pricing crazyness.

    Thanks

reinstalled the mod and still getting wired errors.

on my rubberduck site, the upload works and creates the xml file fine, but if i view the xml file i get an error in feed message. when uploaded only 224 products listed instead of the 644 in the created feed. is there a limit??

on fire2you site i can view the xml fine, but when i upload i get the error, how ever when going to google its self it says processing even though mod comes back as failed!!

    wierd :S

Finally, this update also includes the ability to set a starting and stopping point for the feed. For example, if you set the feed to start at 50, it will start at the 50th acceptable product. What this means is, if you've set restrictions, it will start at the 50th product had there been no starting point set. So if you want one feed with 1000 products starting from the beginning, set starting point to default (0) and max-products to 1000. To create another feed with the next 1000 products, set the starting point to 1001 and leave max-products at 1000...
Hi, where would I set the starting point? I don't see a setting for this under the Google Base Configuration menu.

I have the same exact issue. dkerfoot, did you ever find a solution for it?
I use 1.3.7 Zen cart and the latest version of Google Base Feeder - 1.6.7

It works great to create the feed, but when I try to upload it using the base feeder, it starts to go and then appears to time out. I never get an error, the little progress bar on the bottom of my browser just goes away and the page doesn't update.

This is what I get in the pop-up box:

    Google Base Feeder v.1.5.3 28.08.2007 10:25 started 2007/12/19 07:28:06
    Feed file - /home/mystore/public_html/feed/mystore.xml
Processing: Feed - No, Upload - Yes
    Upload started...

I tried adding the php.ini file as recommended to prevent timeouts. It takes longer to stop now, but it still stops. I can upload the file via ftp and it works fine, but I'd really like to automate the process.

I setup the following CRON job:

    GET "http://mystore.com/googlefroogle.php?feed=yes&upload=yes"
(I added the quotes around the link to prevent the forum software from abbreviating the link)

I get the following result in my e-mail:

    Google Base Feeder v.1.5.3 28.08.2007 10:25 started 2007/12/19 04:00:03<br />
    Feed file - /home/mystore/public_html/feed/mystore.xml<br />
    Processing: Feed - Yes, Upload - No<br />
Google Base File Complete In 0.082448 Seconds 9 Records<br />

(I changed my real store location to "mystore" on general paranoia principles.)

Also, I have the Live Product Feeder installed and it works with no trouble at all. Uploads just fine without timing out.

    Any suggestions?

    This is what comes up:

    Google Base Feeder v.1.6.7 05.12.2007 12:53:59 started 2008/01/05 23:16:45
    Feed file - /home/content/g/r/e/greenhat/html/store/feed/xxxx_products.xml
Processing: Feed - No, Upload - Yes
    Upload started...

    ----

and then it just stalls for a while.. and after about 30 seconds, the page status says "Done".. no error messages .. nothing..
i did some debugging, and it looks like the script stops on the "ftp_connect" function. cant figure out why exactly.. but after some googling , it looks like my Host (godaddy) doesnt allow this function.. would greatly appreciate any suggestions . thx
