Sidebox for Crafty Syntex - How to .....?

I am trying to set up the Crafty Syntex Live Help.

I installed Crafty Syntax on my web site. Then I downloaded, edited and uploaded craftysyntax_sidebox_1.0

The sidebox is on my web site.... empty.

How do you get the 'live help' button to show up in the sidebox? I can't figure out how you link it to Crafy Syntax.

I know... 'tupid question... but I can't find how to do it!

I'm having this same problem. I have gone through the steps from the install.txt file that came with the crafty syntax module. I think the problem may have something to do with the generated code and where its placement, but I'm not real sure. The instructions are not clear on where to place the generated code.

I'm a newbie to zen cart...please excuse me if I am asking stupid questions

I am also having this problem. I did get the sidebox to show up and even got the Crafty Syntax to work, but the Crafty Syntax logos are just above the "Live Help" box on my site???

I pasted the generated code at the very bottom of my tpl_craftysyntax_sidebox.php file.

Where does the generated code get pasted to make this work correctly?

The generated code doesn't get pasted, instead you use the information in the generated code to modify \includes\templates\template_default\sideboxes\tpl_craftysyntax_sidebox.php

Per the instructions in the readme.txt file with the contribution.

I've editied the tpl_craftysyntax_sidebox.php file EXACTLY as described in the instructions and can't get tis to work either

Crafty Syntax is installed properly on my server and I've tested it out on another page (outside Zen Cart ) and it works fine.

I just cant get it to work in Zen Cart. It seems we are all having the exact same problem.

Has anyone figured out how to get this thing to show up in the box??
If so please post some updated instructions here.

One thing I did notice is that this module was made for 1.30 and were all probably using at least version 1.37 .

Any help with this one is greatly appreciated!!

I ran into the same problem. Here was what my problem was and how I solved it.

I noticed that the tpl_craftysyntax_sidebox.php file has a definition for $cs_dir.
this variable is set by default to "help". This variable is what is used to set the script that calls the live help at the bottom of this file.

So, If this variable is set to "help" then Crafty Syntax must be installed at "www.yourdomain.com/help".

Since Crafty Syntax defaulted the install to "www.yourdomain.com/livehelp" however. I changed the $cs_dir variable to be "livehelp" and every thing works fine now.

Give this a try, make sure the directory names match and try again!

What about if your installing it on a different domain, I have followed the instructions but the sidebox does not display.
