It looks like I may have spoken too soon. WGET seesm to have done something but it is not showing in Google Base as an upload so obvioulsy has not been successful. The email which gave me the impression it had worked reads as follows: (website address and IP address changed for obvious reasons

    --05:00:01-- http://www.mywebsite.com/googlefroogle.php?feed=yes
    => `googlefroogle.php?feed=yes'
    Resolving www.mywebsite.com... 00.85.55.1
    Connecting to www.mywebsite|00.85.55.1|:80... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 200 OK
    Length: unspecified [text/html]

    0K 10.24 MB/s

    05:00:02 (10.24 MB/s) - `googlefroogle.php?feed=yes' saved [247]

So it looks like it is back to the GET command again and trying to figure out why the FTP upload does not work via CRON

    Try "curl -s http://your_http_catalog/googlefroogle.php?feed=yes&upload=yes&type=downloads"

Curl seems to work for most people, and without the upload=yes it would not upload with get or wget

Thanks for the reply Gothstone but that did not work either.

Closer inspection of the emails has highlighted what may be a bug in the latest release. If I do a manual upload it calls domain_products.xml but if I do a cron upload it calls domain_.xml. This happens consistently regardless of whether I use GET, WGET or CURL. Uploading domain_.xml as a feed makes no difference - still nothing is sent to Google.

Here is the CRON Email confirmation:

    Google Base Feeder v.1.6.7 05.12.2007 12:53:59 started 2008/01/13 11:25:02<br />

HERE is the Manual Upload via Admin Confirmation:

add &upload=yes&type=products to the end of yor cron job
you have to tell it if youre uploading products, documemts, or downloads

The cron command is set up correctly to specify products and also set up in google base to specify products. Clearly this is a bug in the script because it is not identifying whether it is domain_products or domain_documents when running the crontab.

I will contact numinix and ask him for his thoughts

This is what I have to use for my Cron Job on my server:

    mywget --spider http://www.mysite.com/googlefroogle.php?feed=yes

As you might or might not know each server has their own way of doing a php script. Ask your ISP what the correct way of running a php script is.

    Hope that helps.
