A Few Questions

Just wondering, what do you have to do to backup? How do you do it? I heard about daily backups once live, but having to backup before going live. Also, what do you do to go live? How do you do it? Would like to know as I would like to go live sometime this week. Thanks. If anyone wants to check out the site and see what exactly I need to do to get there, that would be great.

It depends on your host.
You can use a ftp to back up your files but for the db (database) you will need to go to your host site. Some host have a section (CPanel) where you can back up all your db on your home drive or any other hard drive. You will need to know the db name ie the name you gave when you first installed Zencart
If you do not know where to look call your host and they will or should glad tell you how to do it.

there is also a mod for backing up your database. You can find it here: http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...products_id=81
allows you to do your DB backups right from the admin

it should be live now unless you're working off your own computer or server.

It is www.sexysultrylingerie.com. It is not live yet. The one I am working on is www.sexysultrylingerie.com/zencart as the install instructions said.

You will need talk to your host to redirect your domain name.

Moving your files to the root would be better than a redirect. See the tutorials/FAQs for instructions.

I don't understand. Sorry. I don't want the /zencart on the address when it is live. What do I do? I thought the /zencart was a test site and once you wanted to go live there were instructions on how to transfer to the web address without the /zencart. What am I doing wrong?

If you Moving your files to the root level you will get the path that you want
