Take a look at my site. Try to order quantity 100 of any item. My inventory became a jumbled mess, so I had to take stock checking offline while we sort it out. I consider this just a temporary workaround, but it might work for somebody. A shorter message might work if this was a permanent feature of a site. Realize that there is no differentiation here between what can and cannot be backordered (which is why this is not a longterm solution for us.)
