'fraid not. You are using the right version(s) for 1.3.0.2. My version was significantly (and repeatedly) upgraded to work with version 1.3.5 and later versions.

If the files are where they should be (with no backups stored alongside them) and the patch is installed correctly, this will work.

The problems reported in this thread almost always come down to files not being installed correctly or backups being stored alongside them, with only occasional problems caused by faulty installation of the patch.

Now Iam new to the world of online business But I was reading through this site for the past 2 days and was able to find questions for alot of my questions, I was even able to help my website developers to utilize alot of the mods available through this site.
    Now the questions is:
I sell shoes and Apparel which are defined by atributes, Now I start uploading my products to the site and noticed that it takes a lot of time to define each atribute for example if I want to upload a pair of shoes which comes in different sizes 5-10 So to go in and manually define add the size each time iam loading a new pair of shoes and then go and define the quanity of each style Takes alot of time.

Is there a way to set like a matrix or a definition to list the sizes from 5-10 so I only have to change the quanity in stock???????

The same thing applies to Clothing.

Iam not really woried about the color just the size option.

    P.S: Iam using Zen 1.3.8

Any body with Information Please help that would save me lots of time.

    Glamorousshoes,
Actually you are asking several questions in one, but I'll take a whack at it. (If Kuroi posts an answer it will be more definitive.)
    1. There are several mods for pricing and inventory of products with attributes. Each have their problems and hopefully this will be solved in ZenCart 1.4 when this functionality is added to core.
    2. There is EZ-Populate which lets you use a speadsheet to modify stock, prices, etc, but it does not handle attributes very well. There is an advanced version (NOT free) but I don't know if the attributes problem has been solved.
    3. There is an "Improved Attributes Cotroller" mod which makes adding attributes to a product much easier because you can add ALL the Options Values at one time from a multi-selection drop down list.
    4. If ALL your shoes have the same size attributes, you can use a Global copy from one product to the others.
But 3. and 4. don't address the problem of adding the stock quantity, or prices if the product is 'priced by attribute', which is the problem I have.
So my solution has been to write some SQL queries which download a CSV table of the things I need to change for all the products. Then I make my changes in Excel and replace the table(s) with the updated version. I use phpMyAdmin to execute the query, but you could also use the SQL patch tool in the Admin panel.

    Hope this helps

Thanx for both of you" kuroi, and mauryg" I believe I have the latest version from the stock atribute.

Saddly I can't generalize the size chart since I sell in my store as well as the web so certain styles are not available in all the sizes so I have to add those manually.

I guess Iam finding it time consuming since I have to upload 100s of item all at once which seems alot. " I had the same feeling when I have to add everything to my POS"

Lets just hope they will come up with zen 1.4 soon, I start to fall in love with this shopping cart because of guys like you that offer quick replies for free.

    Thanx again.

    Glamorousshoe,
I had forgotten I had answered the same question before for another shoe site. Look at posts #302 thru #305 in this thread. The problem with Easy Populate is that it uses 5 columns for EACH attribute you have and the spreadsheet, in my site, overran the Excel limit of 256 columns. Even Open Office couldn't handle it. But if the only attributes you have are the sizes, then this mod could be helpful to you.

    Kuroi,
Thank you. It's always nice to get a kind word from the Zen master.

    A random thought for Sami,
If you made each shoe a separate category and each size a separate product with it's own model number, e.g SHOE-Size, then you could use the CATEGORY description for the description of the shoe and had NO PRODUCT description page, then each size would have a BUY NOW button in the Category product listing and you could easily use the regular Easy Populate mod for adding the stock, price etc.

    Thanks for the follow up
I already "master" the stock by attribute and The site is operating exactly as I wanted to do, So I will stick with what I know best.

I will wait to see how good the site would do before I start expanding in my studies for the Zen Cart, (Note: I only got the password for the admin panel from the developer yesterday) So Iam literally Fresh to this but so far so good, didn't break anything yet "knock on wood"

Do you guys know of any shopping cart and how do they compare to the Zen-Cart in matter of User Friendliness and Friendly support such as what Iam getting from all the members on this forums.

    Just a random question.

Thanks for the idea. I don't know why I didn't think of that.

    Another Random question.
As I mentioned before I sell shoes and clothes, The way my site is set up now allow the customers to browse by the style.
If I want to add option to browse by Size and have a list of the sizes I carry which would be linked to the stock by attribute, Can anyone Tell me IS that Doable? Can it be done without me paying the developer lots of money??????
