No problems with errors like that for me. We are a membership based business that does local delivery or in store shopping only. If they have a negative balance they have 7-day terms.

Just knowledgeable enough to be dangerous.
Interesting, lets wait and see what other owners think about this situation:
This has a potential error:
Say if customer gains 10usd store credit, which he USED UP.
Now for some reason you adjust 1 of the orders, thus change the credits, now he can have a NEGATIVE credit.
How do you intend to handle such situations?
I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me
Hi there,
We'd really like this module to be working, it seems great. We've done the sql patch and installed all the files, then turned on the sidebox etc.
Now the credit amount is appearing in the sidebar just as we entered it in the admin area, but there's no sign of it when we try to checkout. Is there something else we need to do in order to have the credit applied?
Thanks!

I have installed the store credit mod, and my admin setting are
This module is installed
true
Sort Order
840
Set Order Status
Pending [1]
Offer Reward Points
true
Reward Points Percentage
1
Required Order Status
Processing [2]
Store Credit Box Status
1
I tested this out using a test customer, that customer earns no points even though the order is set to processing when the order is placed. Any ideas?

Could you explain in more detail exactly what the optional rewards points feature is? I'm most interested in a rewards program that would allow me to offer an annual paid club membership that gives a 10% discount on everything they buy, or something to that effect.
Thanks!!
That is different.
You would have to write a new module that if the customer buys a specific product (the membership), then they are added to the 10% discount group. You can set various pricing groups in standard Zen Cart.
Yeah, I've seen that exact thing put to use in a competitors store. It might be OSC based.
As for your mod, could you explain in more detail exactly what the optional rewards points feature is?
I especially like when customers can see the discounts reflected in the shopping cart as they go. I believe that increases the amount they will purchase in one session. I assume from looking at yours it is an order_total mod so that isn't an option, correct?
Thanks
An advanced version is in the works which will have a lot more features.
The standard version is an order_total module but there are easy ways to display the amounts on whatever pages you want if you know a little php/sql.
The module allows the store owner to reward the customer a percentage of their order_subtotal as store credit (aka rewards points).
I was just doing some testing with the mod and came across something that doesn't seem right.
This is the senerio:
Customer has $5.00 credit and buys an item that is $3.75. They are local customer so they qualify for local pickup (at the store). So no shipping charge. With tax total of item is less than the credit.
Once you reach the Payment page they select to use the store credit to pay since it covers all of it. They tick the Store Credit box and then click to continue checkout, only an error pops up and says they must select a payment method.
This is what happened to me when testing and is a very real possibility if you have a credit that is more than or equal to cart total. The only way I was able to continue was select one of the payment methods I had setup (paypal, 2checkout, or money order/check). Is that a bug or is it setup that way?
I should mention that it still worked alright in the end, but that could be confusing to a customer if they are forced to chose one when they think they already have.
