HoverBox 3 - Official Thread

Found a problem with HoverBox3. In Firefox, it works very well. In IE7, it looks funny. See attached pictures.

There are 2 display differences between Firefox and IE7. When someone clicks on larger image, the window that pops up is not centered and the background does not cover the whole page.

Is this a stupid IE7 "feature"? God... I hate IE7, it's always so problematic. How do I fix this? Thanks.

Looks like you've found an overlay bug, can you send me a link to the page where this is happening.

The overlays is controlled by the JS, which I'll need to fix, repack, and send you for testing.

No they're not compatible.

One runs on the MooTools library, the other, HoverBox is based on the Prototype framework.

Personally, I'd think you'd like HoverBox better - and to use you'll need to remove all files added for slimbox.

Can you please kindly comment on the difference between this and Zen Lightbox mod. We are currently using the lightbox mod on our site, you can check out our site in my signature. We are however contemplating switching to this and wondering what are the +/- of the two mods.

Lightbox is based on an old library of Prototype.
HoverBox is currently based on the most recent version of Prototype, taking advantage of advanced features available, better logic.

HoverBox provides complete customization options via the Administration area of the cart. You've got the option to decide what you want in the display, background colors, etc...

Ability to provide smart image resizing using browser dependent capabilities to keep the "entire" image within view. Lightbox doesn't do this.

Next release will include additional features, and upcoming Advanced release will plugin to entire Zen structure allowing for use of HoverBox outside just images. You'll be able to use for any content.

Make sure to remove all the files you installed for LightBox ... the two frameworks will conflict and can't co-exist together, even though they're the same framework.

Please let us know if you have any problems.

One thing I forgot to mention, you gain a slideshow capability as well.

and deleted.
Upload the files in their existing structure, replacing YOUR_TEMPLATE_FOLDER with your currently active template folder.
I made it all step but But I could not install.
please help me

Did you run the included SQL file on your database via the SQL Patch Tool provided by Zen Cart?

Try again is all I can say, the site is currently hosted on a GD development account ... and as you probably know Zen and GD don't really like each other. Sorry.

I tried and tried to complete the download but every time i click on "Packaging Complete, click here to verify your order", I get the same error. This has NOTHING to do with zen and gd "liking each other" or not. There is a problem on your end with your database.

I ask again, why don't you put this mod in the Zencart Forum Downloads section? Then, this problem can be averted all together.

Would you please comment on exactly what the database sql does. I want to try your software since I really dislike the popup of large image. But I want to be sure exactly what is being adjusted and exactly how to uninstall if I don't like it ... or if I upgrade in future may have to uninstall to upgrade then install anew after upgrade. I was on your website last night and downloaded the file successfully. It was a hassle and the other guy suggesting you add it to the Zen Cart mods area for download is probably a good suggestion ... and you'd have many more people using your hard work.

Please elaborate on the install and uninstall ... what is being done. I'm a newbie at Zen. Only 1week. But really liking it and learning fast.
