copy the images to the new images/links_image directory

now go to admin -> extras -> links

and edit each link

edit the image url field as follows:

links_image/YOUR_IMAGE.???

You can do the same thing directly in the database by using phpmyadmin

open the links table and edit the links_url field as follows:

links_image/YOUR_IMAGE.???
