yes, I did ask for a sample of this and It was a very good one at that It shows the power of your template which is great , and right now I'm building an all zen site, and a joomla and see which is better , I'm with everybody zencart is the best ,that said It is hard for us store owners to customize easy because there is not a whole lot of good templates out there. now if you have a lot of money you can pay somone to do it for you but I don't think this is in most cases.Again I thank you both for your help

Why thank you ogie.. and that's why I posted it.. I thought it was a VERY good example of one of many creative uses for this template..

Honestly you don't need a lot of templates. Find a template that is CLOSE to what you want, and then take your time and get to know CSS. With good graphics and managing the CSS, you'll be able to create all kinds of stuff and make the template uniquely your own.. or start with the barebones template and create your own unique template, OR use this template to create something REALLY unique.. I still strongly recommend that you have a go at doing your entire site in ZenCart.. The Joomla/ZenCart combo using this contrib as your ZenCart template is not for the faint of heart (or HTML newbies -- no disrespect meant by this), and IMO it requires you to know how to cut your own HTML (and not use a WYSIWYG tool). Either way you decide to go with this, I wish you luck with your site..

A good place to start for templates that you can use w/ this mode is www.oswd.org.
but you need to take the time to learn CSS or html to do this well.
I don't think that the sang embed template is right for you.
It would take any good html/css dev up to 4 hours to, integrate http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=281 in to your site.
The hardest part would be to get the easy pages header working with the you template, but really just because it would require working of the sudo classes.
If you want help w3schools.com is a great place to start.
Also the firebug plugin for fire fox is helpful as well.

I do agree Josh.. I LOVE your template, and I personally have MANY plans for MANY uses of it.. but I think that the sang embed template really is not the right template for the do-it-yourself type of store owner with little to no HTML/CSS experience. (again no offense meant at all ogie..) I think this is made clear in some of your earlier posts in this thread.. I don't think it necessarily requires a code monkey to use this template, but certainly one must be familiar with HTML/CSS to successfully use this template..

This site is a wonderful resource.. It has that great "try it" tool.. I sometimes use it when I want to try something out, and see the desired effect..

ok - i have no idea what i'm doing wrong >_<" so i have this website: www.scotty-valentine.com and i would like to integrate ZC into it so that it uses my already existing design (background, nav bar, footer, etc.) - i posted needing help with customization and was led to this thread. i have downloaded the Easy Embed file, uploaded it ZC (at least i'm pretty sure i did, as it is there, but i had originally uploaded an old version) - created a shop.html page were i placed the "embed" code things~ changed the embed_config.php .... so basically i thought i followed the steps properly - but i get this: www.scotty-valentine.com/zencart *scratches head* sooooooooooo .... yea, what did i do wrong help would be appreciated!!!!

*sigh* i don't know - it's easy to get frustrated when you sit at the computer all day, and your back aches and your eyes hurt, and you lose all logic and reason - but i don't get it .. i added a #content to my CSS in the shop.html .. and that didn't really change anything .. am i missing something - i am a bit slow, lol i don't see my background or my main container .. my logo and nav bar are absolutely positioned to the the main container as reference point. and of course i don't see my background or header and footer ..... T___T

Yep.. Looks like you've got the template properly installed.. You've got some more work to do though.. The reason it doesn't look pretty or align correctly is because now that you've got the template configured, you still have to edit/modify the template's CSS to get ZenCarts look to match the rest of your site's layout and design.. This template just makes it easy to slip ZenCart into your existing site.. You still have to adjust the CSS to finish the look..
