For starters you can read my post #934. It pretty much spells out the problems.
If it is a single or several complete items which I have to back order, I use the "Split Orders" in SO. Then I adjust the amount of funds I capture from the authorization. When the backordered items are shipped, I capture the remainder.
If it's a "partial" shipiment of a single item, then I would have to split the order to remove the partial item, delete that order and create 2 new orders using "Encrypted Password", one for the amount to be shipped now and one for the balance to be shipped later. Lots of work. Easier to tell the customer you'll ship the whole amount when you get the balance.
Yes, attributes are a PITA (pain in the ######), especially since there is no real good way to assign individual stock numbers to keep track of the various items. I was hoping that Helixx would finish his mod, but so far, no go.

Is anyone using this Super Orders successfully with Edit Orders also installed in Zen Cart 1.3.8a?

Are there any specific fixes to allow these two mods to work together?

I've just installed Super Orders today on my testing server. I been setting it up the way I would like and testing it before I upload. I uninstall Edit Orders but then reinstall it and been modifying admin/edit_orders.php to load as a popup in Super Orders. I also been modifying it down to just editing products and removing what I don't need. I still have some bugs to work out, but so far it is working.

Not a simple process to make, been 3 hours on it so far. Just stop in to see if there was something I was missing..... guess not.

If you wish to use Edit Orders as is, then that's as simple as changing some code.
Add this line in admin/includes/extra_datafiles/super_orders_defines.php

define('FILENAME_EDIT_ORDERS', 'edit_orders');

In admin/super_orders.php on line 675 or the seconded FILENAME_SUPER_EDIT, replace it with FILENAME_EDIT_ORDERS.

Then when you click on the link above the products, Edit Orders page shows up. That's basically where I started.

What are you seeing exactly? Do you see the broken image placeholder (the "red x" in IE) where the image should be, or is the space completely void of any image indication. Keep in mind that Mozilla Firefox simply hides the space where broken images sit, so you won't see anything there.

First thing I would do is get Firefox. If that step is done, go get Web Developer and Firebug. I find both of these tools absolutely invaluable for any kind of web page troubleshooting.

In this case, open one of the broken pages, then got to the web developer toolbar and choose Images > Find Broken Images. See what it finds and go from there.

Many thanks once again. It turns out it was the content of the .htaccess file..........

I have been using super order for a while and I love it thank you. But I just moved my site to a new server and when I tried to use my super orders it says "can't open file" can some one help get this great mod back up and running???

have super_orders_2.0 rev46 and zen cart 1.3.7 so I have done the mod mentioned in post 971 by gsdcypher. It doesn't seem to have solved the problem. What am I missing.

That's way too broad of an error message to help. What SO page gives you that error? Is that error the only text on the page, or do portions of the page render (i.e. can you see the navigation at all)? Does the rest of your admin work?

That problem has been handled several times over. Search the thread for the solution. The phrase "email update red x" should get the results.
