Down for Maintenance Question

If I put my store on Maintenance mode, will customers still be able to access any downloads they have purchased?

I am in the process of closing my store, but I would still like customers to be able to download orders placed in tha last few days. I just don't want anyone to be able to place any new orders.

Try putting your shop into showcase mode
Then they can browse but cannot buy.
(Not sure if they can still download however)
