Simple Category Tree

Hello ....

I am also trying to make categories and subcategory listing on lext side box...
I have used ur code but im not getting out put..
one thing.... im not clear where to include the simple_categories_tree_generator.php and config.simple_categories_tree_generator.php .
I have place them as u have redirect but still not getting out put...
can u please tell me proper flow of ur code what should i change n what i should add ?

@focus360: 1 of the things you can do, is to explode just at 1 place, then copy that array in to a var so you dont have to explode too many times.

Another thing is to maybe re-think the whole process again, see why you need to do that, is there another way around.

@MOni: I already placed the files in the folders they should be in, just look for those folders in your ZC installation.

I have installed your mod but can't get it to work/show. Categories display just the same as it was before adding your files. Files are placed exactly as you have it. I even went through your directions like 10 times and made sure all the files are exactly where they should be and overwrites are exact.

Is there somewhere I have to turn this on in admin or something? I can't seem to figure out what I have not done to get it to work.

Exactly which one are you talking about? The simple category module or the all subcat product module.

BTW, I will create a separated thread for that module to make it easier for everyone.

Can you please describe all the steps you did? Maybe together we can spot something missing?

First I went in and uploaded file config.simple_categories_tree.php to the includes/auto_loaders file. Then I uploaded file simple_categories_tree.php to the includes/classes location.

I then went in and renamed the files that I needed as backups so I would not loose them by adding a _ at the end of those file names. I then uploaded the modified files header_php.php to the includes/modules/pages/index and dafault_filter.php to the includes/index_filters files.

Nothing happened so I did your step three and made sure all your modifications were in the uploaded files as described by the directions many times.

I have looked it over a lot and just can't seem to see what I did wrong.

Thank you so much for your help. This mod will be wonderful to have and I sure appreciate your offering it to us for use and being willing to help us get it up and running when you can.

Do you have a link? PM me if you dont want to post it here, I just want to see it in action.

Also, 1 of the common problem is the ftp client, sometimes it doesnt upload the edited file as expected.

I just went in and copy/pasted the files directly into my site just in case it was the FTP and it still isn't working.
