Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

Hi

I have downloaded the module, but I am not sure on how to install it? I know to copy the admin files to the admin folder and also the includes files to the includes folder then upload them to the server, but what do I do with the google checkout folder and the other files that I can't open?

You should find a README plain text file and an INSTALLATION plain text file in the zip file. Open them with any editor. They should answer most of your questions.

Just use notepad or similar. Start the program; Choose file->open from the menus. Browse to the README and INSTALLATION and select whichever one you want to see. The file should open for you. Or you could rename each of them to have a .txt extension and then open them.

Anyone ever have problems with orders disappearing when a partial refund is given to a customer? Am I the only one who is getting this problem?

I only want UPS to be available for Google Checkout orders instead of UPS and USPS. Where do I change this? I'ts been so long It escapes me at the moment.

It appears that since a couple of weeks ago, the Google Checkout
orders are being processed as Shipping: GC Digital Delivery
(FreeGCDigital) and therefore shipping isn't being charged, even
though the store doesn't have a free shipping option of that type nor
are digital downloads part of the options in Google Checkout. Nothing
has been changed either at the store or the GC console (as far as I
know).

I've also had a look in the transaction log, and checked the product
in the Zen Cart backend...I can't immediately see anything wrong with
this product type or shipping settings.

I see that there are no errors or issues listed in the integration
console.

The only change is hosting company, and the only change with that that
it's mysql 5 and not 4 as it was on the old host. However, all other
aspects of the order work, just that shipping type making no sense.

but it's all but been abandoned as apparently Google don't provide
funding for this any more?

Anyway, I posted more info to Google and had a reply:

Thank you for your email. I understand that you have currently integrated
with Google Checkout through Zen Cart and are experiencing problems with
the calculation of shipping cost in your account

This issue is apparently occurring because the shipping tags are not
correctly implemented into your Checkout API request. To perform custom
calculations for an order before your customer confirms a purchase, you
must include the <merchant-calculations-url> tag in your Checkout API
request. The <merchant-calculations-url> tag's value is the URL to which
Google Checkout will send requests for merchant calculations.

Because Zen Cart has integrated your Google Checkout solution, they are
best able to address the causes of this issue. Please forward this
information regarding the errors that you are receiving to Zen Cart for

My last order through GC had a similar issue with shipping, the shipping wasn't free but the shipping amount was the default amount that I put in the parameters instead of the calculated amount from the USPS interface. This was how it was working when I first installed GC but then it started to work right and now the last time I had an order in GC (couple of days ago) it went back to the original way it was working. What version of ZC / GC are you running?
