Andra, why are you still using 1.3.7? and are you absolutely sure you don't have an includes/templates folder??? if so, I'd say your ZenCart installation is pretty messed up.
Do you have site we can have a look at?
As for installing the template, all you do is unzip it, upload everything in the includes folder to your includes folder and then activate it in admin.

I'm new at Zen-cart; think it's wonderful. But I'm having real problems with installing a template. Haven't been able to load a template in a way that it shows up in the template list.

I'm using version 1.3.7, which, oddly, doesn't have a Template folder. I've combed the installation looking for where the Classic template file must be hiding. No luck so far.

In any case, this silver template looks great, but it doesn't have a ReadMe file for installation. My first attempt was replacing the different folders, which didn't work.

Could someone please point me to step-by-step installation instructions? The FAQ template instructions refers to includes/template, which is exactly what I don't have.

Glad it fixed it. I don't know why the includes/modules/main_product_image.php from IH causes this but I don't think it has anything to do with the theme.
Maybe IH needs to be updated for ZC 1.3.8? As the default ZenCart includes/modules/main_product_image.php works with IH, I don't know why it is overwritten by IH.

well, you do have a templates folder.
Right click on the logo and choose view image in firefox, you will see it is at /includes/templates/classic/images/logo.gif

it is /includes/templates/ you need to copy any themes to.

Much better! I was in the wrong includes folder. Started over, and loaded fresh files.

Now the site displays the elegant silver zen cart. However, the main page is missing products and shows the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: zen_get_generated_category_path_rev() in /home/amedea/public_html/includes/modules/zj_silver/new_products.php on line 68

Can you translate?

You are getting there but still have some install problems.
This error has nothing to do with the template, it is your ZenCart install.
You seem to be missing something from your includes/functions folder.
I'd suggest uploading all files from ZenCart again.

You're right, anthonyd. There does seem to be something wrong with the install. Fortunately, there isn't much built, so will start again.

I'll also be releasing another version of the ZJ Black template next Friday.

jQuery UI is still in beta but should be out of beta early next week.
Other than that there is a few extra tweaks I'd like to add to it, I'll make a post when it's ready.

For what it's worth, this error was fixed by uploading the 1.3.8 copy of includes/functions/functions_categories.php. The error appeared in a couple of places, and this one file seems to have patched the problem without introducing new ones (that I can find so far).

I'm not saying this is the ultimate answer, but it does make the index page usable without the major surgery of a full update.
