ZJ Silver Support Thread

The ZJ Black template template is looking great. Are you setting up the columns so they can be set on either side? Single or double?

Having the controls in the admin to do the following would be awesome:

1.) be able to set single or double columns on the right, left or right and left.

2.)be able to set the collapse feature and the hide feature on the side bars on and off.

The ajaxed tabbed "bestsellers/featured/sale/new" on the home page box is really nice. Is that going to be stock in the template? Also the buttons are very well done on both the silver and black templates. This is going to be a really slick Web 2.0 presentation for Zen Cart.

If this plays well with Tabbed Products Pro, that would be a big plus. Since you are doing tabs in the "bestsellers/featured/sale/new" box in jquery somewhere on the todo list for the future version could be to use your jquery library to do the same thing in your template.

Keep up the good work. This is an exiting edition to Zen Cart.

Having this template play well with "Fast and Easy Checkout" and "Easy Sign Up and Login" which are also template modifications would be nice as those are good mods that really streamline the order process.

Thanks for the feedback Picci.
I'll release the ZJ Black templates as 2 different templates on Friday.
One with normal left & right side boxes and the other with both left and right side boxes beside each other on the right hand side.
The reason I am doing this is that the one with the side boxes beside each other is a css layout not a table layout and I want that extra space above the two columns for the tabbed bestsellers/featured/sale/new box.

I'll look at the other contribs you suggested and see what can be done.
As for admin controls, they won't be in Fridays release but will be at a future date with choices for all sorts of slide in/out/up/down/explode and so on type effects.
If anyone else wants to provide feedback on either of these two templates before I release them, you can see them here: ZJ-Black and ZJ-Black-2.

I have just uploaded the ZenCart jQuery pack to the templates downloads section.
While waiting for it to be added, you can download it at http://zencart-jquery.com.
This pack includes 5 templates, the original ZJ Silver but with a new carosuel for extra product images.
The other four templates all display truncated product descriptions on the home page along with plus/minus buttons for displaying more/less products in that module.
Lots of other jQuery additions too...
I'll put a demo site up in the next few days so you can try out the templates before you download, but for now any feedback is appreciated.

Did you ever post a version of the template without the ability to minimize/close the individual boxes (on the user level)? I know this is kind of the point of this template, but I really just like the simplicity of it (color and font), but without the need for the minimize/close option.

No i haven't released any versions without the jQuery additions yet, just back from a weekend away so checking up on things now.
Which template do you want without the minimize/close functions and do you still want the other fancybox/carousel and other jQuery features?

Haha, even simpler. I don't even need that. I can just embed my images in the product description. My store will not have lots of items, only a few higher priced items. Taking a little more time for me to create each item's page is not a big issue for me.
