Not sure that you can insert a SQL that is 6+MB in size as this is not what it is normally for

Most phpmyadmin's are configured at a max time for operation to 300 seconds or 5 min - are you waiting to see if it times out?

Yes, I am, but, at first, the page begins to load, and then it will just stop. No changes have been made. Nothing. The database is still empty and so on. It's rather strange.

In addition: There's no error message. It just doesn't seem to do anything. I can walk away for a good ten minutes and return to a page that hasn't reloaded and acts as if I have never hit the "go" button.

Maybe get a good Book to read?

In all seriousness, you must wait for it to complete "and" you will get a msg. at the end; regardless of whether success or failure.

Almost sounds like the Server is a tad overloaded, which would explain the long wait.

    Hi Rob,

It turns out that I can't upload it as zipped. That's never been an issue before. I also have to use Firefox instead of Safari for whatever reason. After my husband suggested I try Firefox, the page came back with a "cannot read file" error message. He suggested unzipping it and trying again. The second time it worked. :)

I'm letting everyone know just in case they have a similar issue.

Strange as the import function in phpmyadmin states:
Imported file compression will be automatically detected from: None, gzip, zip
Must be some restriction they have

Yes, I found that to be weird, but I will work around it any way I can. Sometimes, the Internet gods are fickle. (grin) If it won't work one way, I'll do it another.
