    Default What the....?

I'm sorry that's not a very descriptive title for this post, but I really don't know what the heck to think.

I'm trying to configure shipping. The problem is that whenever a shipping option is available, the viewer gets this:

So, in short, it's either this, or "Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time". This seems to be true regardless of which shipping modules are being used.

What I'm actually trying to do is have free shipping to the US, and weight tables for 'Canada' and 'Rest of the World'. At this point, I'd be happy if just about anything non-Martian showed up.

If anyone could help me overcome this, they would have my eternal gratitude. They could even have a Black Sabbath patch if they wanted it, too.

I would also really appreciate if someone could help me figure out the most practical way to implement those shipping rules, or something near it.

Yes. The three zones I have set up now are USA, Canada, and World.

    *bump*

I really need help with this. I am baffled and really should have had this shop live by now.

I will pay the person who helps me get this fixed and get shipping set up properly. I am at my wit's end.

What shipping modules do you have enabled?
    What version of Zen Cart?
    What addons/contributions are installed?

What happens if you "Remove" all those shipping modules (write down all your settings in them first), and then just enable UPS or Table Rate, using the default settings? Do you get the same odd display, or do you get regular rates?

If you get the same odd display, then you've fudged something in your site files somewhere, either in custom coding, custom templating, addons, etc.

If you get regular rates, then you've got something configured wrong in your modules.

At the moment, I don't have any shipping modules enabled. I was trying to use the table rate clone, and enable a different table for each zone. I am using 1.3.8a, and the list of mods is mildly exhaustive:

If it's anything, I imported data from osC using the Import Data From osCommerce contrib.

Using your method, I got the same display; it seems to be a coding/template problem. This is reinforced by the fact that I tried installing a couple new templates and they all seemed to work fine. I tried to compare/replace a few files that I thought might be involved with all this, but I haven't found any differences from the clean ZC install files so far...

What do you mean by "seemed to work fine"? Do you mean the problem went away?

Yes, precisely. Changing to a different template made everything display correctly. I'm currently using a modified classic template. I guess I could start with a fresh template and do everything again, but...

WinMerge is a very handy tool in that sort of situation.

Use it to compare the "working" template vs your customized template files ... and all the files it overrides.
