Here are the instructions.....

Unzip this package to a temp directory
2. FTP the contents of [temp directory]/catalog into the root of your Zen Cart
installation (i.e. your "/catalog" folder). The files are already
arranged and there are no overwrites


Maybe I am misunderstanding the (ie. your "/catalog" folder) in the root directory. ?????

yes, treat catalog/ as your webserver root so all the catalog/includes go into <your webserver>/includes etc....

Customers often check "purchase order" payment method accidentally (interpreting literally I suppose). This occurs even though I have added this text: NOTICE: BE SURE TO CHECK SECURE CREDIT CARD OPTION - Purchase orders are for established commercial customers only.

This works if put into tpl_checkout_payment_default.php

if(!isset($_SESSION['payment'])){
        $_SESSION['payment'] = 'worldpay';
}

where worldpay is the desired payment method to be selected by default. (You'd need to work out what yours is).

Not really a super orders question, but go to admin click on Customers and Customers and anyone with a valid log in is displayed even if they have not ordered. (on 1.3.8a anyway).

I already have that mod and I am looking for more control of the orders. Once an order is placed you cannot add to it before it ships. You have to add another order and manipulate the shipping charges.

Attached is a screenshot of the "edit order" module, before and after the blue add product link is clicked, the first one shows the link at the bottom of the page, the second shows a printer has been added to the order.

There has been no other orders added, as you have described.

Um, ok that's what's missing. Edit Order just allows me to edit the quantities, delete, or split the order.

Where in the install did you see the Add Products?
