FedEx Module Issues

Hello there,

I have a few problems with the fedex module (http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=367)

First, it's getting horribly wrong rates. I have an item which the module says will cost $50 to ship from X to Y. If I go to my account at fedex and enter the same weight information, etc it will only cost $7. Is there a way to fix this? This sort of behavior is unacceptable.

Second, we have found that if you enter a quantity of more then 250 for items (even items marked as non-shipping) the fedex module will not return shipping information at all.

Third, is there a way to log/email the store admin when fedex fails to return shipping prices?

make sure that you are getting the correct rates
1 make sure that you are getting ground or home delivery ( this is determined if a customer has added a company name )

2 make sure that you are verifying the tare weight......

prices come directly from fedex and the module has absolutly NO control over what fedex sends back

Ok. I'm digging into this module and going to be re-writing a lot of it it seems.

Does anyone know who the maintainers are for this? I have emailed all the people at the top of the file, but they have replied saying they are not working on it.

IF you do what I suggested then it works just fine,
remember this module only sends the ship to and ship from Zips, and the weight

fedex returns the rates this module has NO control over this

also remember that the rates you see when you go into fedex.com are your list rates not the published rates ( required by fedex )

Check your tare weight.

and make sure that you are getting the right services back by testing with both a company name in the account and without a company name in the account


If there is no company name then Home delivery is dispayed and its rates are Higher....

Hi. Thanks for your reply, but I did do what you suggest and the rates are still way off, which is a well documented problem on this site.

I am going to be re-writing stuff to get the package counts, etc to be correct for what we are doing and to return the correct prices which will match what we'd get going directly to the fedex site and doing a quote there.

you can NOT have fedx module return Your list rates,
those are your private rates and are NOT to be displayed publically, you are required to display the published rates.

trust me I fought with Fedex for 2 years over this mod....

You can have it, but just wanted to let you know that they have some really stupid and instane rules,.

hi...i just want to ask...can i use this mod here in the philippines? coz when i try to register for an account in fedexidentity.com, Philippines is not listed in the drop-down for the Country field...thanks... :)
