Problem was with my Module Manager. I guess that file was one from it. Now I have THIS problem:

Error Failed: 1
Error ERROR: Cannot create table module_version_tracker because it already exists
Warning Note: 1 statements ignored. See "upgrade_exceptions" table for additional details.
Error Failed to set up version tracker table

Oh, so it was that .keep file then. Okay, got it installed. Thanks a lot for your help!

just spent last night installing SSU.

when I hit "reset all cache" it give back an error message:

"cache/ssu/ folder is not writable"

did I do anything wrong?

(also, I'm not sure if I ever turned the plugin "on" or how)

Where did you download this module? If you get it from the link from my signature, you should get the link to the wiki with better documentation (this new version is already submitted to download section, but it will be a while for it to go live)

Anyhow, back to the topic, cache/ssu is not writeable means.....it's not writeable. You have to check the permission of that specific, set it to 777 if needed to.

If any of you has the newsletter subscribe only module installed, add unsubscribe to the exclusion list when you have trouble with unsubscribing

Can you copy the exact error?

Hi here it is:
1146 Table mydomain.module_version_tracker' doesn't exist
in:
[SELECT * FROM module_version_tracker]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

SSL does not work now with SSU turned on. I have checked both configure.php's and my .htaccess. I am not sure but I think this happened around the time that I upgraded from 2.9.6 to 3.4.8.
