yes its all available, but i'm trying to see if there is another way round it rather than rewriting the cat_filter function which controls it all.....i guess there isn't.

Hi everyone thanks for your assistance. I have 3 sites i want the same products on each, but different site name, address, tel, EZ pages, "news and article" manager etc. Landing pages. So i can have each site look completely different although selling the same goods. Is this MultiSite module the best option for me?
I have installed, Ultimate SEO URLs, Live Help, Simple RSS, "News and Article manager".
How complex is this to install and set up and understand how to use?
The main site is Furniture Northern Ireland
And i am just releasing Furniture Dublin and hope to release this one soon Furniture London

Any help or advice would be gladly welcomed. Eunan.

Installed this mod in a fresh install of Zen Cart 1.3.8a, and overwrote the files with the modified files. For the first domain, I created a config file and pointed it to the classic template, using a very basic setup:

I then added this site to all categories using the Admin tool.

The page did not completely display for the site. After troubleshooting, I was able to fix by disabling the whats_new.php and the featured.php sideboxes. Any ideas on what might be the problem?

What do you mean by "The page did not completely display for the site"?. Did you enable all the sideboxes you want for each store you setup by first selecting the store template in the admin, then enabling the sideboxes?

I have loaded the multisite files, etc., as per instructions, made the database change, and then checked to see my core site run OK. For whatever reason, my page fails to load completely. Nothing loads beyond the left column. I have tried reverting to classic templates, although the site worked fine on the template I developed. I have made no major changes to any pages. The multisite category function is working fine in the left hand column, so I suspect it is a problem unrelated to the mutlisite setup.

Whatever template or stylesheet I load the result is the same:

Went back to point #0 and started again. In the process of doing so I noticed I had not uploaded all files. Might help.

Someone can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Zen-Cart 1.3.8a breaks the Multi-Site module if you are simply over-writing files from the base ZC installation with the "Modify" files from Multi-Site. Specifically, includes/functions/functions_categories.php has some major code changes when you compare the version included in ZC 1.3.8a and the one in Multi-Site. If you re-upload the includes/functions/functions_categories.php file from the base ZC 1.3.8a, it should work, but you can't exclude categories from showing up on your Multi-sites.

I have isolated my problem to this issue identified by Coop1979. As soon as I upload the multi-site 'functions_categories.php' my site (1.3.8a) dies. No page loads fully. Has anyone resolved this issue? Is there a workaround?

There was a 1.3.8a version uploaded by someone, I assume that's the version your trying to install? I installed Multisite onto my 1.3.8a store before that though and just used WinMerge to make the necessary changes to the mod. Worked fine for me.
