There are 8 products, all of which hover perfectly.

However, in the New Prodcuts box at the bottom, all 8 products appear there too which is fine. But the hover on the last 2 float far away from the mouse cursor. You may not be able to replicate this is you are running at a different resolution to me (if that affects the coordinates????)

Just wondering if anyone has seen this before?

I have incidentally just applied the IE PageY null fix.

    Thanks

    Kev
    Did you edit any files?
I see this with only with IE.
With my sites I do not have this problem.
Are you sure you applied IE fix?

    Hi,
Been at this for hours and can't seem to find the solution...maybe someone can help me out.

recently installed IH2 and turned all my pictures in the Product Listings page to be different sizes. I am able to make them all the same size by turning Image - Use Proportional Images on Products and Categories to 'off'. However, when i do this two things happen:

    1. I lose the Hover effect (which is ok if that needs to happen for me to have all my images uniform)
    2. But most importantly, I lose my Product Info page image.

Does anyone know how i can fix this?

    thanks!

    hi,

I guess no one has an anwer for this

Would it best then to not have IH2 installed and work on decreasing the file sizes of the images to 5K each and upload them through categories/products/edit like normally?

one of the reasons for installing this addon was to improve my sites speed, which it has but it looks a bit disorganized with the various sized images...

    thanks!

Sorry, I and others that help with IH don't spend all our time living here.

    Have you read the manual?

The "Images Configuration Page" and the "Image Dimensions" sections might be help to you.

It shouldn't have different sized images.

The size of your image is controlled in your admin panel in Configuration and Images.

I recommend also installing Lightbox as this and Image Handler work great together and it will look very professional.

    hi,

can someone please take a look at my files...i don't know what I'm missing. I've read the manual several times and know how to change dimensions of pics, but it does not make my pics uniform. the only thing that does is setting the 'Use proportional images....' to 'off' as i stated previously but my Product Info pics go missing when i do.

Can it be the manner on how my pictures are prepped with my camera program? ( i do a lot of cropping/editting on the pics before uploading to zencart)

Well it's not going to be an easy task, but I figured out how to get the pics on my product listing uniform.

the only way i figured to make it work (just in case anyone else runs into the same problem) is to:

Resize all my pics to the same width and height dimensions and re-upload them...it's a weeks worth of work since I have over 800 unique products but hey you gotta do what you gotta do.

If anyone can come up with a quicker solution...I'm all ears.

    thanks!

    See notes above in red.

    From the manual @ http://breakmyzencart.com/ih-doc

The parameters to configure image dimensions have been enhanced to not only accept numerical values, but to accept parameters with an appended “!” which implies a force canvas size mode. Images are resized to fit and placed centered inside the fixed canvas instead of resizing the image to just one of the dimensions if it doesn’t feature the same aspect ratio as the settings. That sounds too complicated? Trust me, it isn’t. Just see for yourself: Configure a nice colored background and test both values with and without the appended “!”.

There are different approaches to setting the dimension of images.
You can do it the normal way and simply specify width and height dimensions in pixels. Set width to 100 and height to 80 for example. If your image is 200×200 it will be resized to 80×80 because this is the biggest size that fits into 100×80.
You can just set width (or height) to e.g. 100 and leave the other dimension blank (or set to 0). Now you specified a width (or height) that the image in question will be resized to. The height (or width) will be calculated according to the correct aspect ratio.
You can for example set it like the first example but append “!” to one value (for example 80! for small image height). The generated resized images are centered on a canvas that matches exactly the given size for the corresponding image. If you specified 100×80! your 200×200 image from the first example will be resized to 80×80 and placed centered on a 100×80 canvas filled with the specified background color. Think of it as kind of forcing image dimensions without messing up the aspect ratio.
