All went well but no little flashing box by the bottom corner of the E when started
- using Vista
- error message: unexpected end of mysql

I do not use Vista and have ripped it off every thing I own with Windoze. But as I recall, you must be logged in as an admin to install/run this or any of the others
You should when successful, have a CP in the tool bar at the bottom and all can be run from there....might try if you have it to restart mysql and or both

And don't install in C:/Program Files.

- downloaded file to:
- C:/users/xxxxxx/downloads/EasyPHP 3.9
- rebooted computer
- click the easyphp icon
- E, with red box on right bottom corner appears in system tray
- Right mouse clicked: Started the process
- Mouse hover over Icon: says started
- Now: No blinking red square again
- In browser: Firefox
- http://localhost
- nothing
- What next

Well, I have seen this problem with xampp.
Are you able to install to C:\ and NOT another folder?
In Windows, I made a folder called C:\web and installed to that.
