Jquery Zoom [Support thread]

Hi,

I am using Zencart 1.3.8 with jqZoom and jqLightbox.
It was working great until I added PAP (Product Attribut Pictures).

When I click on a thumbnail of a product attribute the main image changes.
Example, I click the thumbnail for the red Tshirt. The main image changes the picture to the red Tshirt.

Now when I do mouseover on the main image, the jqZoom starts acting weird. The zoomed image overlaps the main image and makes it shaky.
Checked it under Firebug and it seems to be pointing to the original default image.

The LightBox on clicking seems to work fine though.
The Zoom is NOT working.

Anyone made jqZoom work with PAP (Product Attribute Pictures) ?

I'm currently using zen lightbox and a few other mods with zc1.3.8a. i had includes/templates/custom/templates/tpl_modlue_attributes.php modified so that attribute images would work with zen lightbox. here's a look.

questions:

1. if I wanted to swap zen lightbox for jqLightbox, would I need to further modify the attribute file again? should i bother?
2. do i need to install IH2 if I want to use jqLightbox or jqZoom?
3. can jqZoom be used only on info pages if I decide to leave zen lightbox active as is? and is it compatible with zen lightbox?

this project is nearing completion and I would prefer not to experiment at this time, but I cannot seem to get zen lightbox to show the prev/next button on an info page with lots of photos. maybe it's a naming issue, i'm not sure.

Suggestion and recommendations are welcome and much apprecieated.

I just tried to install this but it was causing a few problems after enabling it in admin.

I have IH2 and Zen_Lightbox_1.5 installed at present.

When I overwrote the files used by Zen Lightbox and IH2 and loaded my product info page, I was just getting a yellow exclamation mark in the status bar indicating a JScript error.

Problems:

1. Clicking on additional images just opened the small thumbnails in a new tab instead of opening them in Zen Lightbox.

2. Zoom mod did not work at all, not in the slightest.

3. JScript error outlined above.

I'd like to persevere and get this one working as I think it's a great contribution and it looks fab on the sites I've seen it on.

Do I need to uninstall Zen Lightbox completely before installing this?

Do I need to install jquery lightbox to work along side this??

Any help greatly appreciated.

You need to "merge" all like files touched by modules

Actually, having just checked my downloaded mod files against Jquery Zoom files, I can see that the only files interfering with this installation are files from Zen Lightbox 1.5. I can only assume that I'd need to remove this mod and use Jquery Lightbox instead?

I thought it was interfering with IH2 mod because clicking my thumbnails was opening thumbnail sized images in a new tab as opposed to full sized images in a new tab. However, I've compared IH2 install files to JQZ files and they don't appear to clash at all?

Here are the only three files that prompted for an overwrite:

Yes, if there was not a sql insertion for ZLB

There was an SQL patch with ZLB but there's also an uninstall.

Almost... I'm 99.9% there... I seem to have a bit of a problem with the swap image quality....

It seems that when I hover over an additional image, then it swaps into the main image frame, the quality of the swapped image is that of the additional image and extremely pixelated...

What am I missing here guys?

It is using zen_image_OLD I believe, and you can try to use zen_image, but you will have to get the latest version of IH2 posted on the download section by me for that to work correctly.

Can you please explain what you mean by 'is using zen_image_OLD...... use zen_image' ??

Limelites, did you uninstall and then start with a fresh IH2, then Jquery Lightbox and JQZ? Your site still looks like it uses the other lightbox mod.

If you follow the right order, you should be fine. If not, post and give us a link.
