Default My site is cpu hungry, need advices

Hi zeners, need your help again.

Iam very happy with my site, the only problem is that its a little heavy and cpu hungry. With a dual core processor when I scroll quickly with mouse the cpu usage goes around 60%, that means someone with single core processor will not be very pleasant.

Can you advice me some tips to make it a little lighter? Thank you very much.

PS. I dont think its the flash slideshow, without it again its cpu hungry.

    See my site at http://www.easytechnology.gr/

Are you thinking or referring to the processor in your PC?

Your page loads rather slowly and this is due to your hosting providers server and not the cpu of your access machine.

The small thumbnail images, being displayed at about 80 px by 80 px, are actually 600 px by 600 px images that are over a megabyte in file size each. Displaying that many of them on one page slows things down a lot. Either manually create small and medium size images and put them in the correct folders on your server, or install something like Image Handler to do it automatically for you. Either of these methods will greatly reduce the load on the server and on your browser when displaying pages in your site.

This is a FAQ as well as a fact. ;-)
