Tis supposed to redirect
http://mysite.com/index.php to
http://mysite.com correct?

Nope, it redirects anything which matches the rewrite conditions to index.php - at the server's side that is.. so even though the customer is seeing "/my-category/-my-product" the page the server is looking for is "index.php".

That's how rewrite rules work!

i installed google checkout and ceon stopped working, so i unistalled google checkout but ceon is still not working, works fine when you are uploading a new product, everything seems fine on the preview ,only when you go to the online catalog the ceon has not rewritten the url. can anyone help thanks

Google checkout is one of the worst modules for Zen Cart unfortunately. It breaks a lot of things so we recommend against its use!

It sounds like you need to reinstall the URI Mapping module. Specifically it sounds like the file [modified_core_files] includes/functions/html_output.php needs to be merged once more with the version on your site.

have now re merged and uploaded core files, no effect , still have the same problem, have you got any more ideas thanks pal

I agree with Conor.. At it's BEST, the Google checkout is beta software.. It's NEVER worked to my knowledge.. a read through of the support thread tells the whole story..

What I have done for clients is create a clone of the check/money order payment module and created a "Google" check out option. Customers who select it will receive a separate Google invoice (manually generated from Google).. Not the integrated solution we would all like, but it works for my client since she has so few Google sales anyway.. (most customers use Paypal)

You've definitely overwritten some files or missed some out.

Hello,

I've noticed a strange problem in my site logs after installing the URI mapping mod (which is fantastic, by the way).

A lot of the spiders are getting tangled up in currency variations and sord orders, and multiple questions marks are being added to the url string. Googlebot and Vagabondo are the main ones. They also keep getting dealt the cookie_usage page.

I am almost 100% certain it's something that I've done wrong in configuration, but I can't for the life of me work out what it might be.

Short of your rewrite rule adding an extra question mark I'm afraid I can't see how that could be happening. It certainly isn't something I've seen before.
