bkeaton - I don't mean to be "rude", but you need to move your questions about configuring your hosting to your web hosting provider's support department. This thread is already long enough for those of us using it to look for answers to multi site module related questions.

After reading your posts, let me offer you some advice to help you out. You should seriously consider posting an ad on craigslist/monster/etc for a freelance web developer familiar with Zen cart, the multisite module, and your host to help you with your initial multisite configuration, and explain in detail how and why things work. This will save you problems (and money) down the road, and ensure your sites are not held together with duct tape and WD40.

Get the hint!! You are now off-topic. Please refrain from posting more irrelevant questions in this thread.

Admins, Could you please move/delete the off-topic questions by this person. We now have over five pages of garbage to deal with.

I have seen on http://www.godaddy.com that they are selling a so called "Multiple Domain (UCC) SSL Certificate". They explain it this way: "A Multiple Domain (UCC) SSL Certificate secures up to 100 domain names with one certificate. This certificate works the same as a regular SSL certificate, undergoes the same validation processes, ... will secure multiple domains, such as: www.YourPersonalDomainName.com; www.YourBusinessDomainName.net; www.YourBusinessDomainName.com; shop.YourBusinessDomainName.com, etc.

Has anyone experience with that? Is this simpler to integrate than ex. three different certificates? Will this not need extra IPs?

(Is godaddy reliable (sorry, don't know that daddy)? Are other/better solutions known?)

    3. 99% of wildcard only cover subdomains, those that don't cost big $$

    4. as 2, yep each check out template matches site

As for VPS, no idea, think you will struggle with the SSL side of things due to the IP based serving required, rather than name based.. this is one of the reasons i chose to go for my own dedicated unit box rather than 3rd party shared hosting - that and its the 3rd quickest link in the world so great for hosting zen sites!
Has anyone managed to get ssl running with multisite-module and multiple domains on a usual ISP-Hosting-Account? Or is this impossible?

What I have done is purchase a second domain name for testing only. I have the second site going but why the second site is pulling all the categories and its products from that first site?
