Help! No matter what time frame I select, the Sales Report shows NO sales for that time period.

My host is HostMonster, which says my Zen Cart is the latest version, my browser is Firefox, I have cookies on, and use a Mac iBook G4.

Anybody have a similar problem? For a while I was getting shot back to the LogIn page whenever I dared to ask for a sales report. Now at least it's "better". But no sales showing in time frames when I know I've had mucho sales.

avf, sorry to post this as a reply to you, but I'm new to this forum and I couldn't find a simple "post message" button anywhere.

Reply is appropriate for sales-reports issues.

    No answers, just questions here:

Do you use a preset or a custom date range?

When you say 'Show me the money', do you get a response that says "-- NO ORDERS IN TIMEFRAME --", or just blank below the column headers?

Do you have other add-ins installed?

If you can do Customers->Orders and see the orders, but when you do Reports->Sales Report and don't see the orders, my guess would be an installation issue, either a corrupt file or an extra .bak file hanging around.

I need a report that gives me the following info all in one report:

    Cust name
    Product name
    Product Quantity
    Product Attribute

    Will this report do that?

No, doesn't have the attribute capability.

It aggregates orders first by timeframe (e.g. day, week, month). If you want, you can list individual orders per timeframe (sort by order attributes such as the order number ,customer name, or quantity of items per order), or you can list by products (sort by product attributes such as product name, model number, number of a particular product ordered in the timeframe)

Thanks to all the great help I have Sales Report working fine. The only issue I see is that the product price selected is the current price of the product. For instance I sold on one of my products at $64.95 in Nov. The same product is on sale now at $61.70 and that is what the sales report shows for the sale in Nov. Anyone have any clues or ideas. Whoever is responsible for this report is doing a great job, wish I could figure a way to seperate my 2 different taxes (In Canada EH!)

Yes you are right, the report does not take the actual price used in the order, it recalculates the price from each order. Don't understand why either, but it is true it will calculate with current prices and changing that will require some programming.

You could add tax columns if you like, you will have to change the class file and add the columns to it. This should be fairly easier than rewriting the above, you can look at the code i wrote (link few posts back) for adding paypal columns and apply the same logic for the tax columns you want to add.

    nagelkruid YOU ROCK!!!

I installed your sales report mod, nice! I appreciate the advise on the tax columns but I don't have the knowledge to do this type of work. If you are interested I would be glad to make a contribution.
    Thanks again for the mod.

Hi I'm using the following add on:

V4 Book Mulitilanguage Product Type for V1.3.8

    http://www.jphuk.co.uk/zc/index.php?...roducts_id=490

Books are the only products on my store, so they all use this "template". It adds extra tables ect. one is Author Name.

Is there a way that I will be able to select sort by Author name as a sort option?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks a million!
