Just another Cross-Sell mod (support thread)

ok, it's PANIC TIME. I JUST deleted every file I installed- everything from MODULE MANAGER and Cross Sell Advanced. I'm STILL getting a plain white screen for my admin page. PLEASE HELP- I beg of you!

I'm having the same problem with the yclass thing. I downloaded the original cross sell mod. While I was backing up zen cart I went to take a look at the instructions provided by the original cross sell mod just to map out what I had to do to install it. I then did a search and found the cross sell advanced so I deleted the original one and unzipped the advanced one because it had no limit to the amount of products you can cross. I followed the instructions and installed the module manager first then the xcross mod advanced and the blank white screen appeared.

I realized that the advanced mod was missing one step..which was to install the sql patch. The zip for advanced does not even include the sql file. Could this be the reason that it is missing this yclass?

Okay, so I got it installed and it was working great, however, when I try to edit current cross sells I get this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method RIXsell::db_result_to_string() in /home/diva/public_html/templates/admin/xsell_advanced.php on line 41

How did you get past the white screen error?

Well this was the exact order I installed everything.
1. Module Manager - Jan 23 version
2. Just another Cross-sell mod
3. Module Manager - Feb 2009 version
4. Cross sell mod advanced - old (this one you can find on post #608

Everything was overwritten each other. The module manager in the Feb 2009 version has the yclass that you need. You most likely downloaded the first one, like me, which was the Jan 23 version and that is missing three folders in the includes folder.

This is not a solution though because I ran into that error when I try to click edit and delete in the advanced cross sell control page under catalog. I can add it and it shows up but editing it and deleting it is not possible right now for me.

But at least you can access the rest of your admin section, and operate the rest of the site without using these modules?

I REALLY wish the writers of these mods could chime in with a fix for us!

Yes, I can operate my site and do stuff on the admin panel. It looks like it's working on my site right now, I just can't edit it or delete it...so I'm pretty sure I'm close to having it functioning perfectly...just missing something...hoping the creators can help with this. =/

Well here's my MAJOR problem... I can't re-upload everything as my entire admin area is BLANK! I tried to reinstall the Jan 23 version of Module Manager- but since I can't access my Admin Area- it's pointless. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE someone tell me how I go about getting my Admin pages back!

to get your admin back delete this file in admin/includes/funtions/extra_functions/xsell_advanced.php . That should get your admin running.

Well, I did that and now I get this-

0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED
in:
[select * from project_version WHERE project_version_key = 'Zen-Cart Database' ]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Now, I haven't changed anything in this install. I HAVE started installing a new clean install into a completely DIFFERENT database and directory on my server. HOWEVER- that should have NO EFFECT on this installed version. How do I fix that?
