Default Problem with overridden english.php file

    Hi,

I am using Zen Cart v 1.3.8a (patched) and have defined custom folders in /includes/templates and /includes/languages folders.

While the changes made to english.php file in my custom folder, such as TITLE and SITE_TAGLINE are overriding the default english.php file in /includes/languages/ perfectly, why is it that changes made to FOOTER_TEXT_BODY in the custom folder file do not reflect on the website while if the same changes are made to the default english.php file, they do?

This is quite confusing; please help!

    Thanks,
    Ijlal

TITLE and SITE_TAGLINE are defined in includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/meta_tags.php, not in includes/languages/YOUR_TEMPLATE/english.php. Check what you changed and make certain you made the changes to the correct file.

Okay, sorry I did not notice these definitions were commented out in english.php, but the question remains, why is the file in /includes/languages/english/custom/english.php not overriding the one in /includes/languages while the overridden meta_tags.php is showing correct behaviour?

Okay I got the answer to my own question after a little thinking. It wasn't working because it was in the wrong folder; the folder should be /includes/languages/custom/english.php

An easy mistake to make. Glad you got it worked out and posted the solution in case anyone else has the same issue.
