I have the multi-site module installed and it appears to be working...

But when I go to the admin, I get:
the domain store.theebooksale.com does not exist.

Does anyone know why????

OK, call me crazy, but... I'd actually like to help you cause i haven't seen this one before.

If you want, you can PM me with your ftp and admin access details and i'll get to it. And, AFTER i'm done (and if), you can donate something here or to my private account, what ever you prefer and only if you want.

And if you're wondering why i'd like to help - I'm writing a detailed "for dummies" guide to multisite module and have never seen this problem so i'd like to cover it with the guide...
For all of you out there already thinking to ask when will it be available: i don't know. It's about 60% finished, but i'm working on a few projects and don't have enough time to finish it. I'll post a notification here when completed. And, yes, it will be free to download.

I finally got it sorted... sort of. I had an issue with iridium not being able to access Pear on the server... so I modified the server with a vhosts.conf file to allow PHP to file PEAR... which somehow messed up the admin of the store and not the storefront... which I don't understand.

I fixed this by installing PEAR in the httpdocs folder for the domain and Iridium and Multi-Site are playing nice together now.

It look like filter for ezpages is alredy there...

Now is the day that I release the EZPages Filter.

Sadly I haven't made the admin tool "release-ready".

I don't really believe so.
I have made a kind of simulation mode which I can turn on or off in every shop connected to the same database.
This simulation mode simulates array containing the input I want for that shop.
Try debugging a few things...

For example:
What is the currencies variable?
All the info is pumped into this currencies variable by an array.
Simply use the function "print_r();" to see what's inside the array, with this data you can "simulate" the array but now with other data.
Give it a try :-)

I think the best option to create a filter just like for products. Does anyone know if it has already been developed? Does anyone use it?

Actually, this module doesn't support EZpages filtering.

Ideasgirl mixed up ezpages and define pages. That's how you edit define pages - simply by changing the template.

As far as i know, you can't filter ezpages. If I'm wrong, somebody please correct me.
There are two workarounds, but not as simple as using ezpages.
First is to use ezpages but link them manually. So, you create some kind of a menu or whatever and manually add links to your desired ezpage using dreamweaver and ftp.
Second is to create more define pages for each template used using the About Us Page addon. This is what i did...

I am thinking about downloading this module. I have a number of domains hosted on the same server. At the moment, I haven't created the entire product catalogue yet.

My Question is .... Would I be best to get one site up and running perfectly before downloading this module? Or, is it easy to update the product catalogue for all domains at the same time - I suppose the underlying database is the same ... but just wondered if anyone had any advice for me....

I, too, am designing a new site now for some of my niche categories and this module seems like it could pull all of the categories together and the one cart idea would save alot of expense and labor. I would love to see this module up and running... are there any sites out there that have implemented it? Cant seem to find any in the thread. Thanks.

I have say that Im new here, and so, of course I did not read this entire topic, as some information can be outdated.

But I did really made a lot of research on google on this site and in the search in here, but I am still not able to solve my problems.

I installed, and it's working almost as I want now, except for two things:

1. New Products shows products from all categories
2. SSL

About SSL, I have my store at a domain, and a secondary store on a subdomain. I want same address for checkout, not only because of SSL, but also to cross carts.

Is there solution? Anyone have a clue how on where to edit on the source code to manage this?

Will some kind soul please explain to me how to "point" my domains to the main site? I've read many referances to this, but they seem a bit vague to me, so I still just dont get it.

I have a single zen cart instalation with Multisite Module on a dedicated linux server. (main site, eg: www.mainsite.ext).

I have another domain (eg www.mainsite2.ext) hosted on a shared linux server, which has no content, templates, databases of any sort.

What settings exactly, do I need to change, and where do I change them, to get this domain to point to the main site, the way it should for this module to work so customers can cross shop between the differant domains?

Maybe the answer is so obvious that i cant see it, but i have not been able to find this answer in the forum yet.
