easy populate 1.2.5.7.csv: No products uploading & no errors

zen cart 1.3.8a
PHP Version: 4.4.9 (Zend: 1.3.0)
easy populate 1.2.5.7.csv

I am using above versions. All seems installed correctly but no
products are being uploaded, no error messages result.

I did a download complete .csv file as an example
I edited this file in excel changing some of the fields in a simple
way, to make it a new product (no special characters).

Next in zencart, tools, easy populate,
I upload this csv (EP) file, by pushing browse button (select file on my pc), press insert into db button.
Works, the filename appears in list at bottom of page.

I go to that item, then click on import button next to filename.
The page refreshes and message appears:
upload results: upload complete

No errors
No new product uploaded.

I've searched the threads here and don't see a solution.
would greatly appreciate some help.
have the bulk upload format correct, just need to make it happen.

EP 1.2.5.7 is known to have issues.

remove this version and try 1.2.5.4

Thank you for the prompt reply SchoolBoy. I moved to a PHP 5.2 server and my problem is resolved right along with others.

Thanks SchoolBoy!!! Appreciate your help very much, this indeed worked. I went to my server and deleted all files for Easy Populate v.1.2.5.7, then reloaded the new files into appropriate directories for v 1.2.5.4. Restarted ZenCart, Seamless integration. The headers in the excel file a little different between the 2 versions, so I had to change my excel code, but it was easy, mostly deletion for unneeded columns. Glad to be Moving along again.

I was having the same problem. Going back to 1.2.5.4 solved it for me too.

Do we need to do anything with the SQL patch we applied for version 1.2.5.7? Do we still need to run the SQL patch if rolling back to 1.2.5.4?
