Define Pages Generator addon - Support

When I choose a page to edit from the drop down, the page reloads and shows me the same screen (ie doesn't load the page). I've moved the site from another domain. Any ideas why this should happen? I've tested changing text editor to plain text/HTMLarea/TinyMCE and it still seems to reload to the same half-blank page. Many thanks in advance!

Not sure how your question applies to the Define Pages Generator addon, which works from your home computer?

Sounds like a possilbe problem with your uploaded file as Zen Cart appears to be showing what is in the file, which is not everything you think should be there. If you do a Forum search you should find other threads related to your situation.

Hi,

I am trying to get the define pages generator to work. I had it working at some point, but now I get a 'directory doesn't exist' error, no matter the directory.

I've checked that i've got .NET 2.0 installed and I do.

Any thoughts?

I've tried from at least 3 computers (Running winXP with all the latest patches).

I got it working...I was trying to run it from a network drive. Moved it to a local drive and bingo.

Hello, and thank you for this great addon, banswidthjunkie!
I'm not very good with these things and this great addon helped me a lot. But I have a few questions which may be useful not only for me.
My first and most important question is:
Is there any way to get rid of these sideboxes only of this page made with Define Pages Generator?
I need a clean page without any sideboxes.
My second and middle important question is:
Is there any way to put a button back on this page and to look like my other buttons?
And the last and not so important question is:
Page not visible in sitemap, can anything be done on this issue?
I understand that these issues are somewhat common, but all issues are related in one or another way by adding this new page.
I overturned everything upside down to find the answers to these questions, but without result.

After creating just over 100 new pages with this tool, I noticed that there are only single quotes around the id and class tags in the default template files. For example:

includes/templates/custom_template/templates/tpl_page_whatever_default.php

Does this break the functionality if you ever actually do use the id and class functions? I imagine few people take advantage of it, so perhaps nobody has mentioned it before, or do they function the same way?

I searched for class in this thread and didn't see anything, so I believe in the hundreds of posts, nobody else mentioned this? Or I failed miserably in my search. Searching from within the developer tool kit, I found no other uses of single quotes with class or id tags.

Define Pages Generator isn't exactly a zencart module, you would probably call it a meta-module, it is a small Windows application that makes it really easy to make new "define pages."

All you need to do is specify the name you want to give your page, the name of your current template and a directory to build the directory / file structure in and it does the rest. This directory structure can then be copied over to a zencart installation to make the define page accessible.


Motivation
Making a new define page seems to be a really fiddly task. However these pages are pretty useful, since unlike ezpages they don't get stored in the database, so they are easier to develop (ie you can use Dreamweaver). With a few simple tweeks, it is quite straight forward to give them a menu structure (ie pretend to nest one inside the other so the breadcrumb shows home:arent::child::....) and you can use php inside the pages which I don't think you can do with ezpages.

The code it generates is based on the "About Us" module, which seems to be the main resource for working out how to build a new define page.

I can't get my images to hold an "alt" tag weather i use the editor or just write in code. Why?
I have tried this for my GeoTrust, Visa, etc logos.
They don't hold the "alt tag if i put them into a banner, not do they hold the "alt tag when I use the editor.
