    Default Confused on applying attributes..

    Zencart 1.3.8a

    www.halalitems.com

I am selling teeth cleaning twigs (Miswaks) and I want to sell them in packs of 2, 4, 6 and 8.

So like for instance, 2 packs i want to sell for $2.96, 4 packs for $5.92, 6 packs for $8.88 etc etc

I went and put the option name as "Please Choose"

option type i chose "radio button".

Then for the option value I put 2 pack for $2.96, etc etc

so i went into the attributes controller section and i got confused and I am completely blacked out. I did some tries.. but when I click on 4 pack for $5.92 and add into the cart, it shows $1.48

How can I set it up so it works the way I wanted it too?

    Thank you.

I wanted to know if I can times it. Like for example the price for one is $1.48 and if theres a way I can just x2, x4, x6, x8 so $1.48x2 =$2.96

You can either set the price of the item to be based on the attributes when adding the item so the price would be displayed as starting at: $X.XX. Then you define the attributes prices in the attribute controller.

Or you can have a base price such as $2.96 then each additional quantity would have + X.XX as the cost.

But if you want to offer multiple quantity why not setup prices based on quantity? It is also available in Zen Cart and you can set up the table of the quantity and the price. This way customers can choose how many to order on checkout and the price is automatically reflected without using attributes. It might also make you look more of a wholesale business which help as people trust wholesale businesses.

I am not sure how to do that exactly, last time I did it, I used the information in Zen Cart Ebook. This would be another reason to buy the book, even people who have been using Zen Cart for years will need to go back to the book to refresh our memory on some things.
