Help- Lost all my email addresses

Hello, my server, sashbox.net closed, when the new company had like 2 days to move the site not everything transfered, and they can't find all my customer email's in any of the stuff that moved. I was told there wasn't a curent sql? folder that would have my customer's emails from my subscription list. I am a mornon becuase i have never backed this up!
Is there any way to find it in the files that did transfer or am i sol?

You have NEVER backed up the database?!!!

The data is not in a folder. It's in your database. If you do not have access to the database, you have lost them. You cannot access the database with most hosting companies using FTP.

If your site was moved (and it's now working), then the database would have to have been moved as well. (Without it the site won't work).

yah i am dumby and didn't back up, i assumed the host company did that, the site didn't all move, most of the site won't work.
a company called theplanet has my sql but refuse to give it to me, saying that it's sashbox.net's property but they are out of biz and i am out of luck

I am willing to bet that after you get your store running again, you will start doing regular backups.

You should be doing backups at least once per week if you have a small store and every day if you have a large store. They need to be downloaded to your PC or a storage device, such as a USB drive, and kept in a secure place.
