Go to your admin tools layout boxes controller page and turn the search box off. NOT sideboxes/search_header.php, but sideboxes/search.php

The sideboxes/search.php is already off, and if i turn it on i see two search boxes in the right menu and one in the header of the page (the only one i want in it).


If I turn on the header search_header.php I see that box I don't want in the menu (it comes - and goes - together with the one I want).

Did you edit any of the Apple Zen files?

I translated the language files... Everything based in the english source.

Any hint where I can look for bugs?

Use your Admin - Tools - Developers Toolkit and search the catalog files for quick_search. It seems like it is hard coded or possibly a check was removed to see if it was supposed to be on.

The search_header/sidebox should not be turned on, just be tagged on for single column.

See what files it finds those words in and go from there. Look for anything that relates to the sidebox.

I'm stumped. I've moved the side boxes to the left but can't get the background image to display at all.

I changed this:
#centerColumnWrapper2 {background:url(../images/content_bg2.gif) repeat-y 80% 0;}

The image content_bg.gif for the right side boxes displays just fine. I can't figure out why this one isn't

I would like to use this template but need to restore the layout to three columns. I know what code to add into the tpl_main_page.php to restore the columns but the css gets all screwed up.

Can anyone suggest what changes need to be made to the CSS to get a three column layout like in Cherry-Zen?

I'm using zen cart v1.3.8a and love the apple zen template. I am in the process of redoing our site for the final time before it goes fully functional.

I have managed to get the right hand sideboxes to NOT display on the home page, however, I still need to get the background color that was behind the sideboxes to go away, and center the text in the middle of the whole body, since now it is laid out that the sidebox column should be part of the main body.

I found in this thread where you can change the body to 95% from 75%....however this is a global change and effected all the pages as to move the sideboxes below the center body info and push them to the left of the page. Where would I make this kind of change to ONLY effect the home page?

I have almost completed a custom template . I want to add a second shop using A template like Apple Zen. Do I have to have a totally seperate installation of Zen-Cart or can I have a second 'page' which has a different template.
The products are a differnt product group with their own categories, products etc but are so different that they need their own style of page but each 'shopping page group' are linked ultimately back to a web site. I suppose it is almost two shopping sites except I need one checkout etc
