I'm trying to figure out how to properly use the Gift Card/Certificate functionality as far as allowing customers to purchase and then utilize.
I followed these Zen Cart instructions to setup a Gift Card product: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=64
I had no problems going through checkout and purchasing the card. The order in the back end shows it correctly, etc.
The issue is that when I release the gift funds to the customer (either by queuing via the back end or auto-releasing it), it doesn't send any code to the customer. It sends an email telling the customer their funds have been released to them, but just links them to the store home. I assume that in most cases, a customer would log in and access some sort of screen where they can email their gift card funds to friends or themselves which would create a gift certificate code; however, because I'm using the no account aspect of FEC, this is an issue.
Has anyone encountered this issue and is there a work around?
