Overwriting Existing Images?

While uploading product through admin, zen cart overwrites the existing image file with the new image.How to prevent it or is there any module that shows message like your overwriting existing image?

Please explain in more detail.

If you upload a product change and it has a new image it has to overwrite the image. You can however add additional images to each product.

For example,I have a product "x" in my store with image name "img1".Through admin if i create a new product "y" with different image also that has existing image name "img1",it automatically overwrites existing image with new image.Is there any way to show a warning message like "image name already exist".
