I still cannot get it working... all other modules I use that use template override works except this one...

if i comment out the line
require($define_page);

from tpl_ask_a_question_default.php
then the table show up but it doesn't auto fill the details for you and also also look like it doesn't pick up the language file because it show HEADING_TITLE, ENTRY_NAME, ENTRY_EMAIL instead of normal english words.

If anyone get this modules work with 1.3.9e pls let me know so i know i am doing something wrong.

I tried with fresh install and same thing still happen.

I just installed this on a 1.3.9e (fresh install) site that I'm revamping and it works just fine.

thanks for reply pdxdoug... now i know it just me!!! but what did i do wrong?? would it make any different if i didn't upload it live. I am doing my site on localhost atm. I wouldn't think so but i have not clue why my didn't work.

I started with an install on a local (WAMP) system then uploaded to the web so I could get some help with css from another forum member.

Have you looked at the distribution files and compared them to the files on your local setup to make sure that they've gotten into the correct directories?

Would it be very difficult to add extra fields to "ask a question"? I'm interested in adding extra fields such as "telephone number", "industries" into the form, but want to know the scope of the task.

I'm using zen cart 1.3.8 sp1 and using "ask a question" as a means of getting quotation.

Hi I now solved my problem. It wasn't working because of file permission. So i just set all file to read and write in my includes folder except configure.php and that solve problem.

if you are using Linux to do on localhost first then you need to open terminal and use sudo code as below

sudo chmod -R 777 /opt/lampp/htdocs/(your directory)

hope this will help other people that have same problem as me :)

I finally got this to work. It was easier than I imagined it would be. Great mod.

One question, though. As of right now, only registered users can ask a question. How can I allow guests to ask a question?

i have made the module work well. but i want to reply those questions on admin panel and save the notes in database. how can i modify the procedure?
