Default Changed my MyphpAdmin password now store doesn't show on my website

    Hi,

    I am using 1.3.8a
    website www.lauramaidment.com

I wanted to log into MyphpAdmin to check something but couldn't remember the password.

So I went into the area where you can reset the password. GODADDY is my host (yes I know).

Originally it took an hour for the password to update but then I couldn't get into the admin section of zencart.

    I got this error:

    0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED
    in:
    [select * from zen_project_version WHERE project_version_key = 'Zen-Cart Database' ]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

and my online wasn't displaying either.

I contacted GODADDY and they advised that whilst it was ok from their end on further investigation there was an "advanced problem" and that it would be escalated.

12 hours later the online store came back online but not the admin site.

I was advised by GODADDY to:

After reviewing the error we have verified we can connect to your database. It appears to be an issue with scripting in /zencart/admin/includes/configure.php. Please verify login for the database there.

I found this file and it showed the new password. I sent GODADDY a copy of what the file said and asked them how to verify it - I didn't get a response.

So, I decided that I would change the MyphpAdmin password BACK to the original password (I found it in an old back up copy in the configure.php file). I changed it.

1 hour later - I had my admin store back - BUT had lost the online store and when you click on the store you get

    Zen cart logo and
    Sorry!
There seems to be a problem connecting to our database. Please give us a few minutes to remedy the problem. Thank you.

I recontacted GODADDY to ask and advise and request that they recheck their servers.

    This is the reply:

At this time we are currently able to connect to your database without error. The error you are encountering appears to be related to the application you are using. Unfortunately, we do not provide technical support with third-party scripting issues. We are very limited in the support we can offer for customer-written code or scripts. If there is evidence that our system is responsible for the error, please forward it to us, and we would be happy to look into the matter further. But at the moment this does not appear to be the case, so we regret we can not assist you further with this issue.

You may wish to consult with a community forum online or do a search on your favorite search engine as other users may have encountered a similar problem in the past and may offer helpful solutions.

Considering the only thing I did was to change the MyphpAdmin password what else should I have done??? I don't have enough SQL experience (well none really) to understand what I am looking for. Was I suppose to do something else?

I did check in the admin section of zencart if I had the "DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE" as true but I don't it's false.

I think it's still GODADDY who need to kick something back into working order but how can I proved that. Could it be the 777 or 775 thing I read on another post.

Sorry for the long email but I am hoping I have given you enough information to help me get my online store back online and keep my admin page working too.

I promise I will never change the password again

I just checked and the zen cart store still isn't up.

Maybe it's my fault because I wasn't clear enough.

The website www.lauramaidment.com (hosted by GODADDY) is where the store resides.

The website works and always has but the link where we have embedded the store onto the website which is a selection it says Online boutique NOW OPEN

You get the Zen Cart database connection message

    http://lauramaidment.com/zencart/nddbc.html

Hope that helps to understand the issue :-)

And you've changed the password in both admin/includes/configure.php and includes/configure.php ?

The latter is for the store.

I actually didn't change it anywhere in those files - I did it as a reset within GODADDY through their Control Centre/databases/MYSQL/selected edit (the pencil) and then change password.

Do you think I need to check both of those files to see if it's changed?

Thank you - the configue.php had the old password.

Now why could GODADDY tell me that when I used their system it did something to the files.

Thank you I now have a store connected to the world.
